And former midfielder Jan Molby went out there to check out Jurgen Klopp’s preparations.
“I couldn’t quite believe how relaxed the players were,” he wrote in his column for the Echo.
“I asked the manager this, and he confirmed it. He said the boys were relaxed, they were in the rest and rehabilitation stage at the moment and will then go on to begin the hard work.”

Obviously there will be nerves, but the players handled them well in the quarters and semis and we back them to do the same in Kiev.
We’re actually very glad our game on the final day of the Premier League meant something.
If it hadn’t have, then Klopp may have picked a mixed side and our first-XI would have had a three week break between their last competitive fixture and the Final.
That’s too long, but the two week break is perfect…
Hopefully, this will allow us to play our most physical, assertive, pressing football – and throw the kitchen sink at Real Madrid in the process.
