Fabinho is a cultured bruiser – exactly the kind of player we need in our starting XI.
He stands at 6ft.3′ and is as strong as an ox, but has the guile and technical ability of a much smaller no.6.
Whether it’s in holding midfield or as a box-to-box roamer, the Brazilian’s going to be an incredible addition to our side.
Fabinho has discussed his potential impact and assured Liverpool fans that he’s physically up to the challenge that he’ll be presented with in 2018/19!
“I believe I am a player that can organise the game well for my team,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I play with a lot of intensity and I’m quite strong in man-marking. Unfortunately, occasionally I get some yellow cards for that but I think that won’t be a problem here.
“Hopefully I will have no difficulty in adapting to this type of football.
“I know that the type of football here is quite intense and physical but I think I got some of that while playing in France and I hope I won’t find any problems to adapt to this league.”
Before Fabinho’s arrival, Liverpool lacked a bit of nastiness and bite centrally – but with the 24-year-old signed and Naby Keita joining him – we’re all of a sudden very well stocked with fighters.
We love how Jurgen Klopp identifies an issue and goes about fixing it in such an astute manner.
