Tweeting an update on the long-running Can transfer saga, Romano states that everything could now be wrapped up in the coming days.

The Germany international is set to sign a contract and undergo a medical with Juve, bringing to an end four seasons at Anfield.

While this is undoubtedly a blow for us, it’s been coming for some time and at least we’re well prepared for it.

Fabinho has been snapped up from Monaco this summer, with Naby Keita also already on his way after a deal was agreed a year ago.

We will arguably go into the new season stronger in midfield than we were last year, which is some achievement given we’re losing someone of Can’s quality.

And to be quite honest, if he’s so blind to the fact that something big is being built at the club right now under Jurgen Klopp, then, like Philippe Coutinho, he’s not the kind of player we want on board anyway.
