Insane signing on fee & wage Emre Can will earn at Juventus

A few moths ago, when Liverpool had just qualified for the Champions League Final, no fan could really understand why Emre Can wanted to leave.

Jurgen Klopp was picking him… The fans wanted him to stay… And his prospective contract on the table was decent.

But it was nowhere near as attractive a sum as he’s about to earn at Juventus.

The 24-year-old announced his transfer to the Old Lady this afternoon, and with it, some of the figures he’s about to earn came to light.

According to the Echo, Can will immediately pocket a £14m signing on fee, and for the next four years, will take home £4m per season, too.

Not only will Can now play for a club who win their league perennially and are always in the Champions League, but he’s financially secured himself for life.

Obviously he wouldn’t have been a poor man in Liverpool, but a footballer’s career is a short one and he has a right to do with it as pleases – especially as he had no local or national affinity to us.

Hopefully though, we can prove that in football-terms, he made a poor decision – and Naby Keita and Fabinho can actually be an upgrade on the departed Can.
