Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!

It seems a deal for Nabil Fekir could be revived by Liverpool after all, following an update by Reds correspondent Dave Maddock.

The Mirror journalist has claimed Fekir is actively trying to force through the transfer and that as a result, Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas will discuss restructuring the deal with Liverpool – who will not pay the £53m we agreed before the player undertook his medical.

It seems that Fekir’s desire to get the transfer over the line may well help it become so.

We’re on the verge of signing Xherdan Shaqiri, but the Stoke City man will only be a squad option, while the France international should be a first-team regular.

Fekir has incredible feet, a penchant for genius, can dribble and pass.

In short, he provides our midfield the guile and talent Coutinho did before the Brazilian’s exit.

Make it happen, Reds.

Give Jurgen the no.10 of his dreams!
