Brazilian legend Pelé has offered Alisson his best wishes following the completion of his £65million move to Liverpool.
The world’s most expensive goalkeeper has seen his glowing reputation fuelled further by the man who knows all about being at the top of his trade.
In offering his support for Alisson, Pele also spared a word for Roberto Firmino as he celebrated Liverpool’s growing Brazilian contingency.
There was, however, a harmless but somewhat awkward omission of fellow countryman Fabinho, who joined the Reds from Monaco back in May.
Alisson, it’s great to see your success! I hope you shine next to Firmino in @LFC. I’m rooting for you! // @Alissonbecker, é ótimo ver o seu sucesso! Eu espero que você brilhe ao lado de Firmino no Liverpool. Estou torcendo por você! https://t.co/CD1SnCADox

With Alisson’s mammoth transfer fee come high expectations that he can be a defining boost in Liverpool’s search for Premier League title glory.
The 25-year-old will occupy a glaring void in Jurgen Klopp’s setup and complete the elite spine required at every top European club.
He will sit behind the world’s most expensive defender in Virgil van Dijk, a midfield revamped by Naby Keita and Fabinho and an attacking trio that boasted 91-goals between them last season. Alisson’s arrival leaves Liverpool in a stronger position than ever under Klopp to challenge on all fronts.
