Bayern Munich reportedly lead the race for LFC target

German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly the current leaders in the race to sign Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, who can leave the club for free next summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Bayern are keen to recruit the Welsh midfielder, who has been linked with a move to the Reds over the last couple of weeks.

Because of transfer regulations, Bayern would be able to begin discussing a free move to Germany from January – as Juventus did with Emre Can last year – while English clubs would have to wait until the summer.

Ramsey was on the bench for Arsenal yesterday, but has already decided to move on when his contract expires. The Sunday Express claim Chelsea and Manchester United would also be in the conversation for him.

We’d like to see a move to Ramsey come off, but only for the right wages – there are other options out there too who could do just as good a job, and are perhaps slightly younger. There’s no doubting that he is a player with quality, though.
