The France World Cup winner is not an automatic starter in Ernesto Valverde’s side, but his level of talent is incredible.

Spanish outlet SPORT are reporting our interest right now, suggesting that if Barca make the 21-year-old available this winter, Jurgen Klopp will encourage Liverpool to make a move.

As Liverpool fans, the idea of Dembele is very exciting. He’s incredibly quick, skilful and has a penchant for genius. Under Klopp, he could develop into a genuinely world-class operator – perfect for the 4-2-3-1 formation we’ve used a few times recently.

Obviously though Barca paid an extraordinary amount of money for Dembele and would surely only allow his exit for a similar fee.

If we can secure Dembele on loan, it’s a no-brainer, but we’d suggest this is unlikely.

Our hunch is that Liverpool won’t make a big move in January, with Klopp expected to spend more time getting the best out of new signings Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri.
