PSG rocked by double injury to their two best players ahead of Liverpool clash

Some news is breaking that could have serious ramifications on Liverpool’s Champions League group.

In one evening, Neymar has limped off for Brazil against Cameroon and Kylian Mbappe appears to have injured his shoulder against Uruguay.

It’s now looking like both players could potentially miss our clash in Paris with Thomas Tuchel’s side which could define the outcome of our group…

We are currently on six points along with Napoli, one ahead of PSG in third.

A win would see us qualify, while we’d need something from our final game of the group with the Italians (potentially a 2-0 win) if we fail to beat PSG.

Obviously they’ll be significantly weaker without the world-class attackers, both of whom did us damage in the Anfield fixture earlier this season.

Mbappe is right up there with any player on the planet right now, while Neymar is a genius, even if his work-rate leaves plenty to be desired.

We wouldn’t wish injury on anybody, but will be eagerly waiting for the results of both injuries which have no doubt seen PSG fans in uproar.

If Sadio Mane and Mo Salah picked up injuries on international friendlies this evening we’d lose the plot, in fairness.

PSG have stronger backup options of course, such as Angel di Maria and Julian Draxler.
