The insane Alisson stats that prove he’s Premier League best

Alisson truly is one of the best in the business.

His save from Roberto Pereyra at 0-0 yesterday was a real catalyst for us to go on and win the game.

There are moments when his passing is risky, but more often than not it actually benefits us offensively – and importantly has not cost us a single point in the top flight this season.

Twitter user LFC Torres has rounded up some stats which shows just how well the Brazilian has done since his mega money move from AS Roma…

19-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper makes bold comparison to Alisson

Not only does he have the most clean-sheets, but he has the highest save percentage rate and most crucially, is outperforming expected goals against (a statistical data measure invented by Opta that shows how many goals a keeper *should* concede based on the quality of shots they face) better than anybody else…

At his current rate of goals conceded versus expected goals against, Alisson is going to save us 15 goals in the top flight this term, which is actually astonishing.

It took Liverpool years and years to bite the bullet and invest properly in a world-class keeper – but the decision to bring Alisson in over the summer was a truly brilliant one.

With David de Gea out of form, Petr Cech past his sell-by date, Kepa still young, Hugo Lloris inconsistent and Ederson never having to make saves anyway, we think it’s quite fair to rate the 26-year-old as the current league’s best.
