Liverpool lost 2-1 to PSG this evening – and fans were in no doubt as to the area of the field that needs to be improved upon.
Jurgen Klopp picked a midfield trio of James Milner, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson – just as he did in the Anfield game against the French champions – but in the first half, in particular, it simply did not work.
Milner’s penalty was the Reds only shot on target in the match and there was little link play between midfield and attack.

Liverpool needs some midfield creativity to give the forwards a chance. Tough game and tough UCL season so far but still go Reds. #LFC

Klopp knew the midfield is weak @LFC. So much of the ball created very little. Hendo and Milner's good at running/blocking but when in space/time they're too predictable. Keita & Fabinho need to step up but Liverpool still lack a clever playmaker. Shaqiri & Daniel subs were late

More creativity from the centre of the pitch is certainly required. Perhaps Naby Keita can be that man.
There will definitely be changes for the final game of the group against Napoli with the Reds needing to score at least twice to progress to the knockout stages.
