Klopp’s hilarious explanation of his comedy run after Origi goal

Never change, boss!

Jurgen Klopp lost his head after Divock Origi’s Merseyside Derby winner today.

The Liverpool manager sprinted onto the pitch and hugged goalkeeper Alisson, which in all honesty, he probably should have been sent off for!

It was a show of unbelievable passion and was symbolic considering it was how Liverpool fans everywhere reacted as well.

In his post-match interview, the German apologised for entering the field of play, before explaining that it was not in any way planned!

“I didn’t plan to hug Alisson. I just started running and when I stopped I was next to him. He was quite surprised – you should have seen his eyes,” Klopp told Sky Sports reporter Patrick Davidson.

We actually played quite well today, but missed a lot of gilt-edged chances, with Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi messing up from easy situations.

That being said, Everton had plenty of opportunities themselves and if it wasn’t for Alisson and Virgil van Dijk, would have scored at least once.

As it stands, Liverpool won and have still only let in five goals in the Premier League this season – which is a jaw-dropping record.
