Alisson doesn’t like ESPN’s De Gea comparison on Twitter

David de Gea made a terrible mistake last night during Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

The goalkeeper parried a ball into his net in what was undeniably a clanger, but ESPN decided to claim that Burnley’s goal against Liverpool last night was a comparative error in their headline regarding the Premier League results last night.

‘De Gea’s chicken, Alisson’s fault and more,’ they led with, much to the dismay of our Brazilian – who replied on Twitter with the See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil emojis – indicating that he thinks they’re talking nonsense.

Not only was Burnley’s goals miles offside, but the ball was kicked out of Alisson’s hand when he was holding onto it, which is an obstruction and should have been given as a foul.

It looked at first like he may have blundered, but Alisson was in total control until the Burnley attacker booted the ball out of his grip – which is illegal.

De Gea is obviously a world renowned keeper, but we know who we’d rather have keeping our net at the moment.
