That was certainly the most stressful Reds game this season – but Liverpool did get over the line in the end, prevailing by four goals to three and ultimately going seven points ahead of Manchester City again before they face Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
Goals from Mo Salah (2), Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane were sufficient to get the victory – just – although Crystal Palace were very impressive at times and caused numerous problems on the counter-attack.

With the Reds now having won 17 matches from 17 against the bottom 15 sides this season – and having reached 60 points after just 23 matches in the Premier League – the mood was understandably very good at the final whistle.
Huge result! There’s just a desire to win right through the team, if Palace got 4 then I’ve no doubt we would have got 5

Thoughts on the game- Man City needed to score 4 goals past that Palace team to beat them and came unstuck. #LFC needed 4 and managed it. Far from perfect and you could see not everyone was comfortable but it's a fucking good win. Thought Henderson was absolutely brilliant.

Jurgen Klopp’s men now have a week and a half to prepare for the visit of Leicester City at Anfield on January 30.
There are 15 more league games to go – hopefully they aren’t all as crazy as that one!
