Respected Bundesliga journalist Raphael Honigstein, the man who wrote Jurgen Klopp’s superb biography, was asked about the Timo Werner transfer on a recent Totally Football podcast – and gave an interesting answer.

Werner is 22-years-old and has 56 goals since arriving at the club in 2016. For Germany he’s already on nine, and consistently leads their line…

Liverpool are expected to get rid of Daniel Sturridge, whose contract expires in the summer, and Divock Origi, who will surely exit after very limited first-team football – so a forward is a priority…

But there’s a chance Jurgen Klopp will be so impressed with Brewster in the summer 2019 friendlies that he’ll enter next season with the young Englishman as our primary offensive rotation option.
