Potential Liverpool XI v Manchester United, as Klopp faces massive midfield decision

Liverpool’s XI for the trip to Manchester United all but picks itself, bar the central midfield…

The boss can either keep Naby Keita in the XI, at the expense of a more defensive player – or include the Guinean – who is on form and has started our past five matches.

It’s a tough call, especially considering the game is away at Old Trafford against arguably the country’s in-form side.

If Jurgen Klopp goes safe, he’ll select both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson as defensive midfielders, with Gini Wijnaldum making up the trio. This option is, in our opinion, his most likely right now – although Keita could potentially start ahead of Hendo if the manager wants to take a big risk.

At the back, obviously Alisson starts, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson the fullbacks. Virgil van Dijk will return from his suspension to start alongside Joel Matip at centre-back.

The front-three picks itself, with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane flanking Roberto Firmino. We really hope the trio take their chances and get themselves heavily involved in the game, which they’ve often struggled to do in big fixtures this season.

Our predicted XI: Alisson; Trent, Robertson, Van Dijk, Matip; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Firmino
