Crucial LFC starter drops injury hint that could massively affect FC Porto tie

Trent Alexander-Arnold was subbed off during our victory over Southampton on Friday evening, but many fans assumed it was tactical, considering he wasn’t having his best game – despite the superb assist for Naby Keita’s leveller.

But it seems that our right-back may have actually been injured, as he’s now working hard in the gym to get fully fit for the run-in.

Trent uploaded this video to Twitter, telling fans he’s doing his best to ‘recover’.

The youngster did actually miss the international break due to a back problem, so we hope it’s more to do with this and not something muscular that occurred at St. Mary’s.

As his absence proved in January, Trent is one of our most crucial players and our ability to create down his flank dematerialises without him.

If Trent cannot play against Porto tomorrow, Jordan Henderson will likely deputise, as James Milner is needed to cover Andy Robertson, who is suspended, at left-back.

Thankfully, the game is at home and we should still have enough to put our opponents to the sword.
