Rhian Brewster is going to be great, isn’t he?!
On his return from injury last week, the youngster scored a brace for our U23s, and within five minutes of today’s game v Leicester City, he’d put us 1-0 up at the King Power.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s long range shot was saved, but 19-year-old Brewster showed his strikers’ instinct and got onto the loose ball before calmly finishing it high into the net.
At the time of writing, Liverpool are 2-0 up, after Ben Woodburn notched a first-half penalty.
Liverpool also have Joe Gomez starting at right-back, which is odd considering his best position is in the middle of defence – but perhaps Jurgen Klopp is considering integrating him back into the side down the flank and not alongside Virgil van Dijk.
