Reported Liverpool target refuses to rule out Premier League move

Ajax have been flying in the Champions League this season and their performances against Real Madrid and Juventus have landed them in a semi-final against Spurs.

No one has stood out more than David Neres in those games, and the Brazilian has recently been linked with a move to Liverpool by Le10sport.

The attacker has been speaking to Voetbal Primeur about his future with the Dutch giants. “I have to see what is best for me, for my career and my family,” he said.

We will see what the future holds, but I have a contract here and I am satisfied here.”

The Reds seem to be in the market for a new forward, as rumours of Timo Werner refuse to simmer, and Neres would make for a boss addition to our great side.

Le10sport aren’t known for their solid connections in the world of football though; I’m not suggesting they’d just make stuff up but they’ve got a credibility akin to the Daily Star or TuttoMercatoWeb.

It’s worth considering this before getting our hopes up too much for Neres. Liverpool may or may not be interested in the lad, but his quotes – via Voetbal Primeur – are legit.

He doesn’t exactly say he’s gearing up for a move, but when someone asks ‘are you going to stay at Ajax?’ and you don’t say ‘yes’ then it can turn a few heads.

Why shouldn’t he see Anfield as a destination?
