Journalist shares details of Klopp’s mega new contract as Red set to tie Jurgen down for 5 years

Jurgen Klopp signed a six-year contract extension in 2016, right after the Europa League Final defeat to Sevilla, meaning that right now – he’s still got three years left to run.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, a respectable journalist, who’s penned a piece in the slightly less-respected Calciomercato, Liverpool are offering him bumper new terms to keep him at Anfield even longer.

The Italian writes that the club will tempt Klopp with a five-year extension on wages of around €10m/season, plus premiums based on performance, to ward off potential interest from Juventus.

Liverpool fans are beyond happy with Klopp, who has led us to a second Champions League Final in two years and given us a chance of Premier League glory on Sunday.

The manner in which he’s transformed the club from the position we were when he took over is jaw-dropping, considering we’re now one of the world’s very best teams with a host of its best players to boot.

We’d back any decision to keep Klopp longer term and hope he puts pen to paper over the summer.

If anyone deserves it, he does!
