Naby Keita will be a big player for the Reds in the coming seasons – and it has been revealed the lengths that his teammates have gone to in order to make the Guinean feel at home.
Speaking little English, in a completely new country and culture, it must have been difficult for Keita to settle – something that is often forgotten when a player moves leagues – but his teammates certainly have been making it easier.
Following Naby Keita’s arrival at Liverpool, Andy Robertson, amongst others, drove the Guinean to and from training every day to ‘strike up conversation’ and help him with his English, per Paul Joyce.

It might seem like a small detail, but something like that would mean a lot to Keita. Small things like that can be the difference between a player settling in nicely and struggling to adapt.

It’s a real shame that he isn’t going to be fit for tonight’s game, but we’re sure Keita will be with the squad and will be in the stadium watching. He’ll be gutted not to be on the pitch – but his chance will come again.
