24-year-old midfielder wants to turn down £170k-a-week to sign for the Reds

Paris-Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been offered £170,000 per week wages at Manchester United, but will turn that down as he prefers a move to Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

The Frenchman is known to be a Reds fan, although it is unclear at this stage whether Jurgen Klopp wants to sign him or not. Midfield is an area where the Reds are well-stocked already, with a more attack-minded central player in the mould of a number 10 a more likely addition this summer.

If the Reds are interested in acquiring him, then a deal should be easy to do based on this report, but if Rabiot is not on the radar, he will definitely be moving somewhere this summer.

He has been left out of PSG’s squad for a few months after refusing to sign a new deal, making him a free agent this window.

Whoever the Reds sign in the close season, they will have to be some player to get into this team. Only world-class talents need apply.
