Liverpool midfielder nears Anfield exit

Young Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria is edging towards an exit after Reading have reportedly made steps to sign the starlet.

Courtney Friday, of the Reading Chronicle, has shared a message on social media which suggests that the southern club are close to confirming the capture of the Reds’ youngster.

Ejaria spent the first half of last season on loan at Scottish club Rangers under the guide of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, but the deal was cut short.

The midfielder then ended up down south with Reading, and he made a good impression as the club seemingly are wanting to get him back.

The midfielder hasn’t long penned a deal to keep him at Anfield for the long-term future so, if it’s a loan deal Reading are after, it makes sense that we would give the 21-year-old another chance to prove himself elsewhere.

The journalist doesn’t state whether it’s a permanent deal or not, but according to Football Insider, the Berkshire club are interested in a loan deal.

It seems unlikely that Ejaria will be able to break into Jurgen Klopp’s plans so soon, but his couple of goals and two assists in Championship helped the club survive the drop last season – an increase on his numbers from his time with Rangers and Sunderland.
