Reds hero linked with utterly ridiculous switch to Turkish Super Lig

Turkish media are reporting that Divock Origi is being lined up for a move to Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor, according to Sport Witness.

The reports claim that with star forward Vedat Muriqi moving to Fenerbahce, Caykur Rizespor will use the funds to attract the Belgian, even though he only signed a new long-term deal with the Reds a couple of weeks ago and is set for an increased role this season.

The report also says the move could be on loan – which makes even less sense.

Origi has been linked with Turkey in the past on numerous occasions, but Caykur Rizespor are not even one of the better teams in the country.

With Sadio Mane set to be out for at least the first game of the season, and probably not fully up to speed for a few weeks, Origi is expected to begin the season in the Reds’ first XI.

It might not be a huge role that he plays in terms of starting once Mane returns, but there’s no way Origi will be leaving the club this summer.
