Martin Tyler was once an excellent commentator for Sky Sports, but during the Reds’ win at Stamford Bridge, many supporters were once again disappointed with his enthusiasm for anything good Jurgen Klopp’s men did.
His reaction for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s stunning, Steven Gerrard-esque free-kick was apathetic at best, while he went on a rant about VAR for about 10 minutes after Chelsea’s Cesar Azpilicueta saw his goal correctly ruled out for a clear offside in the build-up.

Commentary of great goals like Alexander-Arnold’s can make the strikes seem even better and more exciting when watching them back, but Tyler was adding nothing with his muffled ‘oh yes’ and seemingly bitter feelings towards it.
Reds fans were not very impressed:

So according to Martin Tyler, "wasting time, is wasting time"
But being offside is "pedantic"
This guy is stealing a living😂😂😂

I’ve seen people give eulogy’s at funerals with more energy and positivity than Martin Tyler commentating Liverpool goals

Watching Trents goal on loop mates. Not sure what’s better the noise of the net bulging, or Martin Tyler saying ‘oh wonderful’ like someone has broke into his house and shat on his rug

To be fair to Tyler, he was fairly unenthusiastic about some of the stuff that Chelsea did as well, though it did appear to irk him a lot more when Liverpool were winning.
No Reds fans have liked him since his over-the-top celebrations when Anthony Martial scored against us for Manchester United a few years back, but since then, he’s only got worse.
