Liverpool vs Birmingham (Monday)

The Reds host Brum on Monday and unfortunately we are still plagued with injuries. Monday nights  have been unlucky for us in the past so we hope to break the duck and get a little bit of good luck, we need it badly.

Albert Riera (hamstring) is ruled out while Glen Johnson (calf), Fabio Aurélio (calf), Andrea Dossena (groin), Steven Gerrard (groin), Martin Kelly (ankle) and Fernando Torres (groin) are doubtful.

To add to Rafa’s worries Carragher & Degen are suspended. However both Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger should be available and  probably Stephen Darby or Daniel Ayala will also feature. Alberto Aquilani should make his Premier League debut however most likely Rafa will start him on the bench.

Former Red Gregory Vignal is expected to start for Birmingham

It will be though but we will prevail, time for Anfield to roar again;

Good and Bad news: Manpoo has lost, but to Chelsea who pull even furthur away from us.. 1-0 final score  (this means we need Chelsea to draw and lose a few games since we lost to them, if we go on a winning streak, we have to beat the top four in our remaining games to secure vital points!)

Our injuries with Gerrard and Torres will both be left till monday to decide if they can feature in our next match.. Skrtle, Aurelio, El Zhar and Aquilani all will be hopefully on the bench or starting, but Rafa is worried about fitness levels still, not if they are in training…

We’re not beating them in the league, but we’re beating them at everything else

So today I went on www.the92.co.uk to see who’s got the best fans in the world. Liverpool ranked six, and I’m ok with that, but even Bury (Yes, Bury!) and other league 2 teams are doing better than ranked 46th place Manchester united. That is halfway, because there are 92 teams overall.  What’s this thing about them having the most fans in the world?

Also I googled ‘Twitter Manchester United FC’ and ‘Twitter Liverpool FC’, and here are the results (Manchester United is at the top)

Only 2 players? You’re joking.

How many times do you hear “The only good players for Liverpool are Gerrard and Torres” or “The only Liverpool players that could fit into Man Utd’s squad are Gerrard and Torres”?. About every week? Well where is United’s “Top Class” midfield? They have one quality player, Ryan Giggs, who is getting too old to play. And their “top class” strikers? Wayne Rooney isn’t even near Torres’ league, and Berbatov, for me, is too lazy and won’t even fit in our reserves. Van Der Sar is getting too old, and Ben Foster doesn’t know what he’s doing. Vidic, yes, is a world class defender. I would take him. Ferdinand is not doing good lately, and we have Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Kelly and more central defenders. Wes Brown and Evra are  great, but Johnson is better than Evra, and Insua is younger and better than Brown. Also, Aqilani is meant to be a replacement for Alonso, so expect him to shine when he is fully fit.
