German daily Bild claims Bayern Munich want Raheem Sterling if Marco Reus bid fails

Bundesliga giants the latest club to sniff out our English prodigy…

Pep Guardiola has sounded out a potential move for Raheem Sterling if he can’t acquire Marco Reus in the summer, reports German publication Bild.

Bayern Munich have made Reus the no.1 target in the summer, partly because he has a £20m release clause in his contract which makes him an unbelievable bargain.

The Bundesliga champions have previously acquired both Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund, but due to Reus’s loyalties to Dortmund, many believe he’ll outright reject a switch to their biggest rivals in favour a move to somewhere else on the continent – with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United credited with an interest.

If this happens, Bayern will apparently try and sign our biggest talent, who is stalling on terms of a new £70k-per-week extension.

The links should be flattering to both Sterling and Liverpool, but we truly hope this are all they are, and the 20-year-old commits his future to Anfield.

Even from a neutral’s perspective, a move to Germany at such a young age, where he’d struggle for immediate game time, could be damaging to his career.
