Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge celebrated his goalscoring return to first-team action on social media last night, after the 25-year-old took just 12 minutes to score against West Ham United after coming on as a substitute.

A delighted Sturridge posted a snap of his goal celebration, alongside the caption: “Waaaayyyyy up I feel blessed!!! Thanks to everyone for the love and support. Great 3 points today!! Grateful to God for allowing me to score. Been a long 5 months!!”

Sturridge later posted a video of him signing along to a video with the lyrics ‘I feel blessed’.
