Can, who was quoted by Liverpool’s official website, said: “We definitely won’t be thinking about that. We’ve just got to think about the game and go on and try to win it, rather than think about anything that’s happened in the past.
“We want to win and go through. I think when we lost 3-1 at Crystal Palace we were on a bad run. We weren’t on form and we were at a development stage.
“Now it is completely different – we are playing in a different way with a different line-up. Perhaps it wasn’t our day, but the way we played wasn’t quite right. Now it is completely different.
“That’s how we want to show ourselves on Saturday. We want to go there and win. It is a cup game and we will give 100 per cent to try to win it and go through to the next round.”
