Carragher surprisingly backs Balotelli
Jamie Carragher, as well as Dietmar Hamann, took to twitter to back Mario Balotelli tonight, as the internet debated whether the striker was right to take the penalty from his stand-in captain Jordan Henderson.
The Italian scored to give us a vital 1-0 victory, but it didn’t stop his injured captain Steven Gerrard quietly fuming in the studio following the match – as he fulfilled his ITV media duties.
