Since Martin Skrtel salvaged a 2-2 draw against the Gunners, we have won seven and drawn three of our last ten league matches – taking us back to within two points of the Champions League places.
After the game against Arsene Wenger’s side we were tenth, nine points off fourth place, but our form since Christmas has been reminiscent of that we showed last season, en route to a second place finish.
Regardless of what’s to thank for our recent upturn in results, Liverpool fans will simply be hoping for more of the same between now and the end of the season, starting with Sunday’s game against Manchester City.
