The Chelsea ‘fans’ are at it again, with more ridiculous and senseless abuse…

Chelsea are being forced to investigate a club supporter for sending an abusive message to Liverpool’s official Twitter account, blatantly and disgustingly mocking the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.

Reports in the Daily Mirror have revealed that the tweet was sent during the Reds’ 3-2 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur last month, and read: “you can score as much as u want but it won’t bring back the 96 dead.”

According to the source, the vile comment was quickly reported to Chelsea. The club were asked to speak with police about the incident, while it was revealed another Blues fan has previously been banned for a similar offence.

A number of supposed Chelsea fans attempted to dismiss the jibe as “controversial banter”, with another adding that “People take things way too seriously,” despite a number of users being obviously and justifiably upset.

The offensive account @TackleLikeMatic, from which the offensive tweet was sent, has been suspended.
