Timely return to the squad for the Brazilian.

We reported yesterday how Lucas Leiva had returned to training with Liverpool after a staggering six weeks on the sidelines but the Brazilian could even be involved on Sunday at Anfield.

The last time we saw Lucas he was limping off against Everton with a thigh problem and it was certainly a boost to Reds everywhere to see the 28-year-old back in action, if it was only on the training field.

However, the Liverpool Echo reports that Brendan Rodgers will make a call over the coming days to determine whether he should immediately recall Leiva to his match-day squad.

On the face of it, you certainly wouldn’t start Lucas given the dynamism the team has showed over the past few weeks and our brilliant run of form. Why change a winning formula?

But Lucas could be coming back at just the right time with key fixtures coming almost every week to secure a Champions League spot for next season and a potential FA Cup trophy.

Would you put him straight back in the squad at the weekend?
