What do you make of this rumour, Reds?

The England international currently earns a sizeable £90k-per-week, but will apparently only consider extending the deal should his wages rise to match his club’s highest earners Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil – who are on around £140k-per-week.

Since the return from his lengthy injury, Walcott has struggled to get into Arsene Wenger’s side, with the veteran boss preferring the aforementioned pair, Danny Welbeck and Santi Cazorla in the attacking midfield positions.

Walcott’s contract expires in summer 2016, meaning the Gunners could be tempted to cash in on the wing-forward should negotiations continue to stall.

Because of the fact he can’t get in the side, it seems questionable that Arsenal will significantly boost his already chunky wage packet.

Reds – if Walcott was available – should we move to acquire him…?
