Bad news for Liverpool as two star players pick up injuries…
If losing at home to Manchester United wasn’t painful enough, it appears that Liverpool fans will be further deflated today, with news that Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge have picked up injuries.

The Guardian reports that Lallana has already withdrawn from the England squad with a groin injury, and it appears that Sturridge is likely to do the same – although he will undergo a full medical check at England’s base St George’s park before confirmation.
Both have struggled for fitness this term, with Sturridge missing five months with a thigh problem picked up on international duty with England at the start of the campaign – while Lallana’s problems have been more intermittent, restricting him to 19 Premier League starts so far.
What’s more – Dejan Lovren has pulled out of the Croatia squad as well due to a recurrence of an ongoing abdominal problem. Lovren hasn’t been starting for us, but with Martin Skrtel potentially facing a retrospective ban for stamping on Man United ‘keeper David de Gea – this could be a further blow to Brendan Rodgers.
