Sunday afternoon saw Anfield host one of the most glamorous friendlies ever, as Steven Gerrard’s all-star side took on a Jamie Carragher XI.
The match ended 2-2, after goals from Mario Balotelli and Chelsea hero Didier Drogba were cancelled out by two Gerrard spot kicks.
There was a party atmosphere all day in L4 0TH, but that party moved on to the Liverpool Hilton in the evening, as players, along with wives and girlfriends, celebrated the event’s success in style.
