Yesterday’s Anfield Charity Match between Steven Gerrard’s side and Jamie Carragher’s all-star team was a resounding triumph.
The game finished 2-2 – after a pair of Gerrard penalties cancelled out goals from Mario Balotelli and Didier Drogba.
Other big names to feature included Thiery Henry, Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Dirk Kuyt and John Arne Riise.
After the final whistle, some of those players took to their social media accounts to celebrate the match’s success.
The best of the Twitter and Instagram reaction is below:
He failed to score a goal, but Torres had one of his most prolific tweeting days ever…

Fernando Torres left Lfc in circumstances that left a sour taste but great to hear that Torres song again today. He was delighted.
