Wonderkid apparently unhappy with wing-back role…
In the latest of what’s becoming an increasingly laborious and worrying contract saga, Raheem Sterling will turn down a £180k-per-week contract offer from Liverpool, reports the Daily Mail.

The report claims that because Sterling’s been deployed at wing-back recently, he isn’t prepared to sign any contract at all right now – and would prefer to delay negotiations until the summer.
We’re a little sceptical over the reliability of the claims in terms of the mooted wage figure, considering the Mail have not included any sources, quotes or evidence – and we really hope the story is nonsense.
However, Sky Sports are backing up the claims, as shown in this tweet from presenter Any Lewis.

The Independent reckon the 20-year-old, who scored his first England goal on Friday evening, is being lined up by Arsenal, who are keen to take advantage of the contract renewal difficulties.
In all likelihood, we’d flatly refuse to sell to a Premier League rival – but if Sterling flatly refuses to sign a new deal, our hands will eventually become tied.
