This is good news for Reds fans.

Liverpool have posted a picture on the official club’s Twitter page showing both midfielder, Jordon Ibe and defender, Jon Flanagan back on the training ground ahead of Monday’s clash with Newcastle.

Both players have failed to make a recent appearance for the Reds. Ibe has been out since February, whilst Flanagan has not played at all this season.

The Daily Mirror reported boss Brendan Rodgers had already confirmed that Ibe would be back for the game against the Magpies, but to see Flanagan back is certainly excellent news.

After a breakout season last year – which saw the full-back receive his first England cap, and be included on the standby list for the World Cup – the 22-year-old has only been seen once by the fans this campaign, when he played half an hour of the all-star charity game towards the end of last month.

Having conceded four games in our last league game, the addition of the youngster will be a welcome addition to the defence should Rodgers select him for when the Toon come to town.

Here’s a sight for sore eyes:
