The Truth
By Hugh Jolly · Comments
Here is a picture from dontbuythesun.co.uk which I have slightly changed to make it 15th April 2010 and 21 years since Hillsborough.
I think we should spread this round the internet for example I have made it my profile picture on facebook. We have already got a worldwide trending topic on twitter which shows how much people care about the 96 brothers and sisters lost on 15th April 1989. They never did and never will Walk Alone, we will always remember them.
R.I.P 96 brothers and sisters.

Next season, we will have everything
By Hugh Jolly · Comments
After having read Antoine’s last post, it got me doing a lot of thinking.
Next season, IF we don’t have Champions League football is it that bigger deal. ” Anfield without European football is like a banquet without wine”- Bob Paisley. Of course it is a huge deal, but the great club we are we will move on. However bigger deal it is I believe it could have HUGE benefits.
In the last year player wise we lost;
Xabi Alonso
Alvaro Arbeloa
Robbie Keane (doesn’t count ;) )
Andrea Dossena
Sami Hyypia (legend)
We are further losing Riera
We have got some great players in
Alberto Aquilani
Maxi Rodriguez
Sotirios Kyrgiakos
three KWALITY players.
Im sure we will get players in this coming transfer window as H&G have promised they will ‘spend big’. If they don’t, yet ANOTHER reason to get them out!!!! So this is IF we don’t have CL football; we will have new players in, will have less injuries than last year and I get this feeling Stevie G is gonna have an amazing season, he will repay us for this season where he admitted he has had a bad one. After not concentrating on CL football, we will be back up in that top four, scrap that, top two because that’s where we should be and that’s where were gonna be!!!
If we have CL football, than great. So we should and there we go.
Next seasons gonna be a cracker so lets start it by finishing this one five games unbeaten!

A little rant…… But lets look forward!
By Hugh Jolly · Comments
The famous words of Nick Hancock were ringing in my head throughout this game. ‘ Referees could do us one favour, just one. Stop turning up to our football matches!’ Obviously it is a joke but it carries a serious message, we need to have THE best referees at these top level games!
Tonight’s referee, was constantly being questioned by the commentators on channel five and rightfully so! After having sent off Babel couldn’t seem to make a decision without conformation from the linesman or the penalty area officials. Fair enough that he looks to them for advice. But, he is supposed to be a competent referee and so should be able to make these clear cut decisions for himself. Booking Reina? The stat came out that it was 6 seconds from when Reina got the ball to the yellow card. Am I right in saying it was for time wasting? If so, that’s awful, not even a warning and six seconds will hardly make a difference to a 90 minute game. Right, that’s all on the rant about referees.
On the positive side, we started really well and were causing them all sorts of problems tonight. For the first half an hour they looked completely frustrated and we didn’t give them much chance to play. Then we had Torres’ goal disallowed, rightfully so. But, that was great that we were putting that pressure on playing with skill and confidence! Agger’s goal was brilliant, very nice. I’m confident we will put a goal past them at Anfield with no reply from then. That would be enough to go through. This away goal will be vital in deciding the match.

Derby game tomorrow!
By Hugh Jolly · Comments
The Derby is fast approaching! I am getting extremely excited about it as well for the obvious reason that we HATE to lose to the (as Shankly said) 3rd best team on merseyside, 2nd is of course the Liverpool reserves :-).
Currently the comments coming from the Liverpool camp show that we have extremely good confidence going into the game and rightly so! When we win the Derby tomorrow it will give the Lads a huge and well deserved confidence boost to take us into the game against Arsenal.
I was watching LFC TV last night and Kop talkin’ was on. The guys on were saying how nervous they get ahead of the game and I thought this just shows how much a game like this means to us. So when we stuff the toffees tomorrow and I am confident we will, all we can say is bring it on Arsenal! Lets hear that anthem sung out spine chillingly loud tomorrow at the game YNWA!

Over the past couple of months there have been so many rumours about players leaving and Rafa almost agreeing terms with other clubs only for when the rumours make it back to the club they are immediately dismissed.
Since the beginning of the season we all know that we have been going through a tough time in the League and the UCL. In my opinion, this is the reason that the media are able to come up with so much rubbish about players leaving. Rumours such as Torres and Gerrard leaving in the summer and Benayoun almost agreeing terms with Dinamo Moscow. Its obvious that they see us as slightly vunerable as of our poor run of form as recent which gives the media perfect reasons to pounce and to cause uproar amoungst the fans and possibly cause internal problems within the club (the last thing we need). The rumours are coming from the same papers mostly and so we can usually dismiss them immediately. But, these rumours are just malicious and im sure as we begin to prove all of these critics wrong these tasteless rumours will stop being produced.
However, the great thing about this is that the quicker these stupid rumours come about, the quicker they are being dismissed. It does frustrate and annoy me that the media are allowed to come out with such ridicolous rumours. But, we should treat everything as a rumour untill confirmed by the club.
