Bargain Hunter’s Paradise

As we await anxiously for a new manager, and hopefully new owners, we could be sure this turmoil will take quite some time. There’s a solution to each and every problem. The list above comprises of 30 of the most impressive of free transfer players I’ve have seen for years. And with all our financial troubles we could do with these kind of players, the only question is could we afford their high wages?
Lets look at some of my picks out of these 30,
- Joe Cole is the obvious standout, simply because its Joe Cole, nuff said. He’d bring bags of attacking qualities, and help us add the extra edge on the final 3rd. Recent rumors had mentioned, however, that he’s gonna sign with Arsenal, stay in London, blablabla…. but as long as it ain’t official yet, we should give it a go!
- If we were to lose Mascherano to Inter “Millions”, I’d like to steal Ballack from that bunch, he’d add much presence and more leadership qualities. A German captain replacing an Argentine one, lol, that’s one for keeps. He will be like a straight swap and he is already proven himself in the league. He will also add some aerial threat to our attacking final 3rd.
- Should I mention, one Thierry Henry is also available, he should also be a good effective signing, he praised the Kop once already, he could even wear no.14 right away if he joins us. Pacey, silky and a deadly finisher, we know that Henry pack bags of experience and he could do us a world’s good.
- And then there’s Sidney Govou, a proven winger/forward who could also add depth to our seemingly lacklustre attack. I would also give Martin Petrov a try, his fragile nature aside, he has pace to burn, and he’s already proven himself in the Premier League, so why not? Kalu Uche may sound alien to you, but this 28 year old is pacey and is decent to say the least.
- Ilan is the other decent surprise of choice of mine, he showed last season, coming in during the winter transfer window and he scored a couple of goals and establish himself as a regular in West Ham, but now he’s left, maybe we could do with a decent striker on the go. If we want a proven goalscorer, we should look no further than Kris Boyd, 101 goals in 143 appearances for Rangers is a bloody impressive record, and I really think he’d be an awesome signing !
- Last but not least, a few defensive names that could help add depth to our backline, Sylvinho, Queudreu and oh yeah Belletti
In my humblest opinion, we should go for Kris Boyd, Joe Cole and Govou. We can’t sign ALL 30 of them now, can we :P
NOTE:
This is just a personal point of view, its not the views shared with no one, except me. By the way, who do you think, from the list above, would you like to see play at the L4 next season? Share your thoughts!

Deciphering Rafa’s Codes : A Possible Theory

All week long we see Liverpool fans being agitated by the fact that the BIGGEST derby in Britain is about to take place. Everyone trying hard to calm themselves down, but it is impossible what with all the “excitement” that’s usurping into our veins.
And I bet everyone’s guessing which player will or will not start tomorrow, well, we have’nt been able to decipher Rafa’s tactics up till now, BUT, I stumbled upon something I’ve been meaning to share.
Take a look at the pictures from LFC.tv, it shows the squad training prior to the derby. And pay attention to those wearing white bibs of Adidas, I have a strong hint that the players with white bibs are going to start tomorrow. Because I noticed the same thing in the previous game against Bolton, the players who was wearing bibs, starts, don’t believe me? Check it out yourselves, click here
Aquaman had white bibs on for the game against Bolton, and he starts, as to the Greek God, Kuyt and Ngog.
And for the game against the bitters, I believe that Aquaman will be on the bench, with Masch and Lucas patrolling the midfield, lets all see if its true, I’m curiously dying to find out, and so are you, Yes?
I would like to again stress it’s just a theory, but I’m ready to be proven wrong. :D
Cheers Lads, YNWA!!!
p/s: I predict we will beat the bitters and as Shankly once said, we will be looking down the table just to check on them . 3-0 to us !!!
Media Frenzy

“You cannot compare Napoli. There is a unique passion here. I couldn’t believe the warmth I felt following my first few days here. The fans have one love and a constant thought in their heads: Napoli,” he told the press.
“You can feel the people’s breath on your neck here at the San Paolo, it gives you such motivation. I think this stadium will always make it difficult for away teams to take points home with them.”
Those are the exact words of Andrea Dossena (remember him?) taken from an interview with the press. The rest of the interview goes on as Dossena talks about working hard and wanting to end his career with Napoli. What came up as the title of the interview was funny though, it says “Napoli Are More Passionate Than Liverpool” .
Which I find quite amusing, and well I can’t say I am all too surprised that Dossena’s words was twisted out of context. I mean, it’s only normal for any player to join a new club and be psyched and talk positively about it. I mean who would join a new club and slate its management style or let alone say anything negative about it.
This is yet another evidence on how the media “loves” our club.
Seriously, I think we’re getting ever more popular ever since Rafa took over back in 2004. It’s like the media puts a whole new light and all its concerted effort to blast us every single way possible. The only way is that us fans, we need to read more from the official sources or get our news from fan sites, like this one :D
I really hope that all Liverpool fans would stick together all throughout this difficult period and not be moved by rumours started by fans from the other side, we should all walk through this storm!!
p/s: im glad to be a part of the EOTK writting crew. Lets all get hyped up for the derby. The bitters will fall, again!! YNWA
