Republik of Mancuria owner fully supports use of “without killing anyone” chant.

By Antoine Zammit         (Other posts by Antoine Zammit)

I received the following email from Scott the Red, the owner of the website Republik of Mancuria. As you can see below he makes no apologies and in fact he believes that it is fair game to use events that people lost their lives in to chant about and sell t-shirts.

This is very very sad.

The families of the 96 have every right to be fuming and sickened with the South Yorkshire police after their inept behaviour lead to the deaths of so many people. The idea of seeking ‘justice’ for their deaths is one we can all understand. I fucking hate the police regardless and if one of mine had died at Hillsborough I’d be as nutty about getting justice as the families of the 96. By failing to accept responsibility they are denying the families the chance to grieve properly.

Likewise, after Heysel, your club denied any responsibility for the deaths of the 39. John Smith blamed Chelsea fans and said it was nothing to do with Liverpool. This was a front your club kept up for 20 years until you met Juve again. You said sorry and put on a big fuss and their fans turned their backs to you, stuck up their fingers, and whistled. 20 years too late and 20 years of pain for the club, fans and families of those that died.

Without Killing Anyone we won it three times is not mocking the dead (like Munich and Hillsborough songs do), it is confronting your fans and club with someone you denied for 20 years, something you blamed on Chelsea. It is also praising our clean conscience for not having the blood of others on our hands.

The very fact that your die-hard fans, the ones who were able to get tickets for Liverpool away at Goodison (so not some JCL from London, but season ticket holders with plenty of loyalty points), were singing “2-0 to the murderers” makes your campaign against me entirely pointless. Your own fans refer to your club as murderers.

It was sick for your club to deny Heysel was your fault, it was sick for your fans to mockingly refer to themselves as “murderers” but it is not sick to confront your fans with your past, a past you denied for 20 years. Would Juve fans want attention brought to the behaviour of your fans that day? Given how much attention Liverpool fans have wanted drawn to the South Yorkshire police, I’d argue yes.

JUSTICE for the 39.

I think he is a scumbag of the lowest sorts, he is making money off the back of people who died like that, are they getting any of the money?is he selling the tshirts as a charity fund for them?? I think not, he’s encouraging hate and violence between the two teams because of his small minded or brainless ( i prefer brainless) ways.
Plus he has his facts wrong, he can ask any Liverpool fan on the street (if he’s brave enough to get his spotty gob out from behind his computer) and he’ll find the they DO accept responsibility. He’ll also find that there was justice, Liverpool fans where jailed, it just goes to prove that he’s nothing but a football thug of the lowest sort. He’s probably too much of a shit bag to even wear one of his own shirts.

The question here is “What the hell has Heysel got to do with you anyway Scott Red”?.

Something interesting as well, MUFC are keen to distance themselves from this kind of so called supporter, and don’t want them selling any merchandise holding their name, and they are ultra keen to find out who he is….He’s not a die hard Man U supporter, he’s a die hard dickhead, end off.

  2. Michael Owen says:

I’ve had the same conversation with him

He only comes up with this utter-rubbish to cover for the fact he uses the memory of 39 lost lives to score points against a rival football team.

  3. Darren McCartney says:

I have to re-iterate the sentiments of Julie.

What does the tragic events at Heysel which led to the loss of 39 lives have to do with Manchester United supporters?

The answer, quite simple sadly. It is nothing more than an excuse for ‘point scoring’, ‘bear bating’ & inciting hatred. Yes, 39 lives tragically lost. 39 lives that were remorsefully & regretfully lost from almost the initial instance. The blame passing is something they believe can justify their involvement to the ’cause’. Quite simply pathetic.

Furthermore to this, I regret to say their may be a hint of irony in what I will proceed to point out, however it is something I find wholeheartedly blood boiling, especially in light of their self righteous behaviour & ‘justified’ response.
This is by no means a continuation of the sick ‘point-scoring’ but a clear incite into the utter nonsense & vile hypocracy which their (specific groups of course) behaviour involves.

In 1980, a middle aged man & wife where tragically killed at Ayresome Park whilst watching their beloved Middlesbrough. The cause, & this is cited on wikipedia & other credible sources was a cause by United fans in the away end, charging & rushing a gate separating the home & away fans which ultimately collapsed & fatally crushed the couple. In 1990, after an FA Cup game between United & Palace, a group of hardened Mancunians took target of a young isolated Palace fan. They chased after him & on catching him gave him a violent physical attack. The man tragically lost his life.

At what point was, has there, or ever will be, an ownership of guilt, a regret, remorse for their actions? Quite simply….never. At what point have Liverpool fans ever took such tragic events none involved with them, but embraced into a chant, merchandise, ‘point-scoring’ over our SO SO SO self righteous rivals? Never, no will they.

I point this out, not to instill hatred or to contiue argument, but to ensure that Liverpool supporters (in their vast majority at least) can stay proud of their actions, their intent of regret & remorse, whilst we will always continue to be on the higher ground compared to our SO SO SO morally virtuous rivals.

The guy is an arse hole of the highest order, Liverpool fans past and present have said that the behaviour of the Liverpool fans was well and truly out of order and some people have even called it cowardly. The fact remains that the Liverpool fans where given a beaten by the Ultras in Rome and they decided to get their ‘revenge’ on the heisel fans just after. LFC reporters, commentators and fans within in the club and who are very closely tied to the club have lamblasted the the fans for their cowardness and they have never defended themselves. Where LFC laid blame was for the ground which was a dangerous structure which Arsenal even said that the stadium was dangerous and was falling down. I think the grudge that the Mabn United fans are really havinbg issues with is the fact that it was LFC who where playing in Europe while United where just making up numbers in the league. Jealousy takes on many guises and this is just jealousy in disguise. What really takes the piss though is some self righouse united fan is sitting there on his little pedastle claiming that LFC and it’s fans are not accepting blame for the events of that day!!!!!! I remember the seeing the fans getting locked up and my parents and other regular match going red fans saying that they deserve it all. So back to the point you can sit on your pedastle claiming a ‘moral’ high ground but at the end of the day it’s nothing more than jealousy pal.

  10. Mike Whisky says:

I agree that the tee shirts will only incite more bad feeling bewteen the clubs, surely something we do not need, but have to say that Scott is correct that the club should have admitted fault long before the 20 years were up. I can understand that some opposing fans would look on the ” justice for the 96″ movement with some sceptisism because of it.
