  1. What’s the big deal about Holland playing in Sydney Antoine? National teams play all over the world, why is an extra few hours flying time so insane? Aussie Premier League and Serie A players have been doing it for years.

    1. International friendlies are ridiculous.

Sydney is too far away for players in the middle of the season to go play all the way there, at least keep them in Europe for friendlies.

  2. So should Australia be excluded from the World Game because of an extra few hours flying time? Stop living in the last century and welcome to 2010!

  3. So be like all the other blinkered Scousers, football starts and ends on Merseyside as far as you’re concerned. Why compete in an English League instead of a Liverpool one?

  4. Incidentally Antoine, does moderation mean censorship? Have you been snared in the American lie of so called “Free speech?”

    1. What are you talking about? All your posts have been approved. What is this I can not walk away to get a cup of coffee now? I have to take my laptop with me all the time so I can approve your comments within a few seconds of your posting.

  5. I’m talking about every comment being moderated which means censored.

Liverpool F.C. is part of the world of football, it cannot be classed as a separate entity. It can either be part of it or it can live in its own little Merseyside world. It cannot have it both ways, if you don’t like Liverpool players travelling to Sydney for an international, the club can simply refuse to be part of FIFA with all the consequences. Don’t like FIFA regulations? TOUGH

    1. What don’t you understand?

We do not care about anything else other than Liverpool F.C. this is what we talk about here.

Everything for the good of Liverpool F.C.

Friendly Internationals are not good for Liverpool F.C. and that is our club, our passion.

The rest can go to hell.

  6. That is so sad mate!

“We do not care about anything else other than Liverpool F.C.”

Football means absolutely nothing to you?, only Liverpool F.C?

REMEMBER, there will be no Liverpool F.C. if there was no football.

Incidentally, no matter how you spin it, moderation STILL means censorship.

  7. We can go round and round in circles mate. Liverpool can continue to live in a world of its own oblivious to the rest of the planet.

Does it matter to the rest of us? Not in the slightest. After all it’s just a small football club which has not won a championship for nearly 20 years. LFC is in all reality always destined to walk alone.

    Goodnight from Sydney

  8. What the hell is this Falcon on?
Antoine was just reinstating the fact that international friendlies in the middle of a season is ridiculous! And yes, not only Liverpool is affected but the clubs with players involved will agree that having meaningless international friendlies in the middle of a season is STUPID. This is a Liverpool FC website, of course we will lament about Liverpool players who are involved! You make yourself sound so stupid, Falcon.. Go back to the nest where you came from
