I just received this message from Jibran

An Arabic channel has reported that the deal has already been done four days ago and further formalities are to be completed in Gillett’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

Let’s hope it works out in our favour!

  8. seeing is believing for sure. The way H and GG have set up the partnership why would the prince pay up a price which he will be paying towards a debt he didnt create. Forexample H and GG paid 220 million for the club why would anybody pay close to 250 million as what figures were being branded for only 50% of the club. so he would be paying more for 50% than what these 2 clowns paid for the whole club

    I think what Pete is saying that you ran an exclusive saying that DIC were buying Newcastle within days and nothing happened and now you are running an exclusive saying that someone has told you that the Saudi deal was done four days ago but nobody can find anything online to corroborate the story.

      All we do here is share all news and rumours with Liverpool fans, as with rumours they do not always come true.
      As a Liverpool supporter I want to know of any rumour out there and thousands of other supporters do to.

      WE ARE NOT A NEWS ORGANISATION, NOR DO WE CLAIM TO BE ONE.

      The DIC story that Michael had reported there was a lot going around about that story at that time however it never happened.

      Now regarding this one there is no source to mention, Jibran heard about it on Arabic TV and emailed me, that is as simple as that.

      Hopefully this time around the story is true and we can get Gillett out of here.

  16. oh God! guys i just heard an inside report on a Suadi national news channel called “SAUDI ONE”, it was a two minute report which caught my eye switching channels. If we have a Friend from an Saudi-Arabian background, he can confirm that for all you guys.
    All in all, lets hope it works out!

  17. I really think it is going to happen now. There are many things that seem to be falling into place. Hicks would not agree to the sale before and now he has, in the past that has been the major stumbling block.

    The only thing that might stop the deal is the debt because Prince Faisal is concerned about that.

    The question now is, is it 25% or 50%?
    Gillett wants to give up 50%, he wants out.

    Well I have been told today at work that as far as Tom Hicks is concerned – the due diligence has been completed & was completed sometime ago. I’m also told Tom Hick’s is fully expecting this deal between George Gillett & Prince Faisal to go ahead. What I still couldn’t prize out of her was whether Hicks himself is going to release any shares. She tells me most things I ask her, but she wouldn’t budge on that issue, but I’m told Hicks himself has been in regular contact with Prince Faisal & F6 director Barry Didato.

    I asked my source why she thought Prince Faisal was now interested in Liverpool FC & she said “Faisal loves the way things have worked out for Sheikh Mansour at Manchester City. Plus it helps that oil prices have doubled since the beginning of the year; but most importantly Hick’s & Gillett’s own position has become ‘clear’.”

    She said that when Prince Faisal & George Gillett signed the memorandum of understanding at the end of September, it set in motion an exclusive commercial collaboration between F6, the Richard Petty motorsports team & Liverpool FC. But for it all to go ahead, Prince Faisal insisted Gillett relinquish all his shares in Liverpool football club. In return, Gillett will ‘potentially’ see a NASCAR circuit built in Saudi Arabia along with some Richard Petty racing schools elsewhere in the Middle East. The Liverpool academies that will spring up everywhere in the Middle East & North Africa are obviously related, though that is not a prerequisite for the deal.

    She also said that on the deal being completed, Prince Faisal is expected to announce all sorts of shit that I’m not going to print in case it fails to happen & I end up looking like a tit; but what I heard was awesome & if it’s really true & this is really happening – this in my opinion is seriously good news for us & our club.
