PFA Player Of The Year And Team Of The Year

By sam         (Other posts by sam)

The PFA player of the year was named yesterday and was Ryan Giggs. He has only started 12 Premier League games and has scored 1 goal! Should have at least been Steven Gerrard. The PFA Team Of The Year was announced, too:

____________

Edwin Van Der Sar

Glen Johnson

Rio Ferdinand

Nemanja Vidic

Patrice Evra

Cristiano Ronaldo

Steven Gerrard

Ryan Giggs

Ashley Young

Nicolas Anelka

Fernando Torres

____________

Too many United players. Ryan Giggs has only started 12 games with 1 goal. Patrice Evra…I can’t even remember him playing he’s been so quiet…

The PFA Young player of the year went to Ashely Young.

We can still win the league, miracles are possible…

It’s preposterous how Ryan Giggs won this award. He was a good player in his prime years, I give him that. But it seems as if they only gave it to him because he has not won it yet in the past. Only giving it now because they pity him. Other players deserve it more than he does. I personally think that Steven Gerrard should have gotten the award. He has been a vital influence and element to the team. If not him, at least Vidic. It is undeniable that Vidic has played well for the Mancs.

As for our campaign, I believe we can still make it. We are in a great position.

I agree: Giggs….WTF? I can only imagine he got it as a kind of, honorary “You never won it before, so for services to blah blah….”.

I would point out that the award is voted for by the players themselves so we can’t complain too much (but I suspect a bit of Man Utd squad vote rigging).

  5. The fact that Ryan Giggs won the award should NOT be surprising. Here’s why
