About Us

The purpose of this site is to promote L.F.C. worldwide.

As Liverpool supporters we need to commit ourselves to spreading the love for our club worldwide. Let us be evangelists and convert young souls into supporting the greatest sport team that has ever existed on this planet. We need to promote our culture, our history and our heritage.

As the great man once said, “My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. he wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable, to build the club up and up until everyone would have to submit.” – Bill Shankly

As usual we are always looking for writers from all walks of life, if you are interested in writing (in any language) please email antoine@empireofthekop.com.

Antoine ZammitAntoine Zammit

I have been a Red for 32 years, growing up in the island nation of Malta during the 70s and 80s and then moving to the US in 1992. I am married with 2 boys and reside in South Florida. I do not claim to be a football expert, I am just a Liverpool Supporter who bleeds Red and has a lot to say :-). I am currently Director of Web Development at a travel company, my web development work has included companies in the UK, Malta & the US and ranged in size for very small businesses to fortune 500 companies. In 1996 I was the founder of the Maltese portal Search Malta.

I do not know exactly how I became a Liverpool Supporter, I did not wake up one morning and say “I am going to support Liverpool today”, it was something that grew with me, it is more like a calling than anything. I am sure there are thousands of Reds who feel the same way I do.

The purpose of this site is to provide a global community and resource for Reds scattered all over the world.

when I am not writing about the Reds or developing, I like to spend a little free time playing Spin Palace roulette, one of many casino games at Spin Palace.

James BarlowJames Barlow

James was born in Mtarfa, Malta, 2nd of February 1975, to English parents from Birmingham, who were there while his Father was in the Royal Air Force. His great Uncle is Ray Barlow, former West Bromwich Albion Midfield player, (http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/albion-legends/2008/01/15/albion-legends-ray-barlow-97319-20390471/). Yes we know that does not make sense as to why James is a Liverpool supporter, but we are getting there. After being born, he lived at RAF Brize Norton (near Newbury) and RAF Wyton near Cambridge. Now the good bit. From Wyton he was dragged to RAF Valley, Anglesey, North Wales in 1982 and now lived a a short distance from Anfield. One day Aston Villa (his dads team) were playing at Anfield, so James was taken as Villian but walked out a Red.

After a move to Hong Kong and back Wyton, James has now settled near Cambridge, were he works in Science. James has played Football for local sides in the area, playing positions have been Forward, Right and Left wing as well as Right back. Aged 31 he gave up playing and now plays Rugby Union to keep the legs working. He also Tenpin bowls and has in the past bowled on the European Tour, one tour stop is his Birthplace, Malta!

James never misses a live game even if there was a bedroom full of naked woman lol. On match days he has his LFC flag out the window, beer in hand and never turns off until the final whistle. He has now met his future wife, Phoebe, who is an Aussie and has taken to watching the beautiful game with enthusiasm. Her favorite player is Torres, not because he is pretty but because of what he can do. James has taught her well. James’s favorite player of all time is John Barnes, because of is wonderful dribbling skills and vision. Being lucky enough to see all of the 80′s, his choice was very hard as all those players were tops. These days he enjoys watching Gerrad of course, but Carra is more admirable, as he would do anything to help Liverpool win, he just does not care about himself.

Well and here he is now and will be writing views on the management decisions, before and during the game and inviting your comments on what he has to say!

Andrew GallagherAndrew Gallagher

A lifelong red of slightly more than 30 years, born in Liverpool, living in Windsor and making it back to a fair few games, I suppose I’m an ‘out of towner’ ! I enjoy writing in my spare time so though it’d be good to share my thoughts with a few people and see whether you agree or not !

What else ? How about a pet like and pet hate. Like ? The crowd’s quieter these days, but we still have the wittiest chants in the game. I love the banter of Anfield on a match day. Hate ? Any hint of booing and heckling. Yes we pay our money. But support the man in red. End of. That’s what sets us apart remember.

Chris BoulayChris Boulay

I haven’t been a red for as long as some of the writers here, as my start as a

supporter came when Liverpool traveled to my backyard, and beat Celtic 5-1 in

2004. After that, I was hooked.

An American, I live in Connecticut where I go to university for Journalism. I

am an aspiring football journalist, who covers the NCAA extensively, but really

wants to eventually move up to covering the English game.

I follow the Premier League, Championship, Champions League and Internationals

like crazy. Football is the greatest sport in the world, and I am lucky to

support the game’s greatest team.

I visit Anna Liffey’s frequently, a Liverpool Pub in New Haven, CT; only the

second one of its’ kind in the USA. It’s the heartbeat of Liverpool support in

southern New England.

Amanda MuschAmanda Musch

My name is Amanda Musch and I’m 26 years old. I was born in Poland but I’m living in my fathers country – Germany, in the beautiful city Cologne. I became a Red because my passion for The Beatles and because all of my brothers are supporting ManU. I couldn’t identify with Manchester and I know, I did the right choice. My passion for the Reds never declined.

I graduated as a TV-Producer this autumn and I’m studying sportjournalism now. Parallel to this I’m writing for diverse papers, working in the sport editorial department in a local radio station and in a Company which is producing sportcontent for diverse TV-Stations. I’m also writing about Formula 1 (www.jensonbuttonfans.com) , which is my second big passion. I have my own blog (myrubber-soul.blogspot.com), where I’m wiriting about everything what is interesting me: sport, movies, books, art, traveling and things like that.

I’ve never been in Liverpool and at Anfield, but I hope I will be able to realize very soon one of my biggest dreams: to see my lads playing at Anfield. But I was able to see live Torres and other Reds play during the EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. A big highlight in my current career as an sportjournalist was an Interview with Sami Hyppiä in Leverkusen. It was a big moment for me. I hope, there will be more! :D

My favourite players are Fernando Torres and our Captain Fantastic Stevie Gerrard. I never doubt in our players and I know that as a Liverpool Fan I’ll never walk alone. The tattoo on my arm reminds my about that every day.

Tonio BoneTonio Bone

Once a Red, always a Red. It enters your blood and stays there, in the good times and in the bad times. I’ve been a Red ever since I started getting to grips with football and how beautiful a game it can be. In the early 80′s I was one of the founding members of the first Official Liverpool Supporters Club here in Malta, but being 16 at the time distracted me into other paths and I felt immature to be involved in something so important. The love, support and passion for the Club have never left me though.

I’ve been visiting this site for months now and finally decided to give my contribution to make it just as Antoine wishes it to be, a global community of Kopites.

Melissa Severin lives in Chicago, Illinois and works in marketing

grew up detasseling corn. This experience prepared her for waking up very early
in the morning, a skill she now applies to weekend Liverpool matches that start
at 6:45am.

Thomas WilkesThomas Wilkes

Hi my name is Thomas Wilkes, born on the 15th February 1993 and have been born and raised in Wales. I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since I was 7 and have been to watch them many times in Anfield and cup finals. The main reason I am a Liverpool supporter is because of my Dad, I was born and raised watching my dad scream at the tele over Liverpool.

At 7 years of age you cant really make an informed decision of who you want to support but seeing as my Dad had already bought me a full Liverpool kit I couldn’t really do anything. Over the next few years I really got into supporting them and saw the pride, passion and belief the Liverpool supporters carried with them, and from a very early age I knew I wanted to follow Liverpool home and hopefully rather soon away. My first game I went to watch was The Worthington Cup Final in The Millenium Stadium when Fowler scored that stunning lob.

I want to go into Journalism in the future but unless you live in a place in the UK like London it will be very hard to find a journalism job.

Stephen BrandtStephen Brandt

Stephen Brandt is that guy everyone knows who loves football, and lives in America. Yeah Red fans boo that, Hicks and Gillette aren’t worthy of a club like Liverpool. While Stephen can’t play a lick of football, he’s out there trying. He’s worked for three clubs in his region, and hopefully will move up the ladder to a new league. With that being said Stephen can trace his roots back to the John Wark, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish teams, while only being 30.

Stephen has also written professionally in local newspapers, and started many blogs, but has yearned for years to write about Liverpool. Stephen graduated from the University of Kansas as an undergraduate, and has a masters degree in sports administration from a university in the north.

Oh and you can guess by his first name, that Stephen’s favorite player nowadays is Steven Gerrard, but is warming up to El Nino.

Julian LeeJulian Lee

I was born in August 1976, at the beginning of the season that saw Liverpool win their 10th league title and their first European cup, so perhaps I was destined to follow the Redmen from Anfield.

As much as I would like to be able say different, I cannot honestly say I remember their glory days of the late Seventies and early Eighties. In fact, the first game I remember looking forward to was the tragic 1985 European Cup Final in Heysel.

I have happier memories of the first match I actually remember watching, on TV of course, being from Ireland. That game was the 1986 FA Cup final which confirmed Liverpool’s place in the heart of a young 9 year old. I dread to think what might have happened if the Bitters won that day!

As a father of three, I am doing my bit with the creation of the next generation of Liverpool fans. In fact, I think my son’s first word was “GERRAAAARD” and his favourite dvd is ‘Ours to Keep’. I can safely say his first memory of Liverpool FC is the Istanbul Final, thanks to my constant re-running of it on TV.

I look forward to our future just as much as I am proud of our past. You’ll Never Walk Alone!

Hugh JollyHugh Jolly

Hi my name is Hugh and I live in the South of England. I have supported Liverpool from ever since I can remember. My Best memory was at Anfield watching Liverpool stuff Arsenal 4-0 on the 23rd December 2000 (best Christmas present ever). From then on my love for Liverpool increased and I have been an avid fan ever since and I naturally have a huge dislike of Manchester United. At the moment I am still at school but after that I am hoping to go to University in Liverpool and then amongst having to do a bit of studying I can buy a season ticket and finally be in the Kop for every game. My favourite player of all time is Steven Gerrard and I think he is the best midfielder in the world. Win, draw or lose we are always together and will stay strong to the end.

Martin TurnerMartin Turner

I’m 21 years ols, live in a town called St Helens (a short 20 minute train ride from Liverpool) and work for the UK’s leading mobile phone provider. I’ve been following Liverpool since I was old enough to know what football was, and fell in love with them more and more each passing year. My favourite memory as a LFC fan would be either Istanbul 2005 or beating Man Utd 4-1 in the 2008/09 season. My favourite players are Ian Rush, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler and Fernando Torres.

Ranvir SinghRanvir Singh

My name is Ranvir Singh and I am 14. I live in Crawley in the UK and have been supporting the reds since I was 4. The first game i saw was when we lost 3-1 against Arsenal at Highbury in 2003. The reason I love Liverpool is because of my childhood hero Michael Owen. I used to love watching him score and he was a true legend for Liverpool. I never miss a game and try to get up to Anfield as much as possible! My favourite goal was Luis Garcia’s so called ‘ghost goal’ against small club Chelsea. At the moment I am currently studying for my GCSEs. I love this club more than anything and will try to write quality stories for all you reds out there.

Blake SalisburyBlake Salisbury

My name is Blake Salisbury and I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. Living in America is certainly tough on a football fanatic, but I have found ways to cope. I frequent a local pub that dedicates itself to show all fixtures in the Premier League. I knew from the very beginning when being introduced to football that I would be a red through and through. Supporting Liverpool just seemed right, and to this day it is my main passion.

I go to Indiana University and I am majoring in New Media. I walk around campus with my Torres, Gerrard, or Carragher jersey with my YNWA scarf around my neck. I despise the Yanks as owners and as human beings. I have not been able to travel to Liverpool and catch a game, but it is a number one priority for me to do in the coming years. Since supporting LFC, I have gotten my father and my best friend to support them as well. I hope to meet other Liverpool fans, as it is hard to find any in the states.

Just because Liverpool had a rough season doesn’t mean we won’t come back stronger. YNWA!

Jemma PorterJemma Porter

My names Jemma Porter and I’ve been a Liverpool supporter ever since I was a little kid. I’ve lived in Liverpool for a couple of years now, and used to live just an hour down the road in sunny North Wales. I’m 21 and live with my fiance and 3 dogs!

I have my own sports website at www.talkaboutsports.co.uk which is just a site for people to express their opinion about all the goings on in the sporting world.

Marc KaramMarc Karam

It all started on the 11th of September 1995. I was born then. I live in Ain el Roumaneh a small town in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. They tell me I’m cool and that’s cool… I listen to music, I like Coldplay… They’re my favourite artists. I love waching movies. I’ve been a Liverpool fan since the dramatic 3-1 win over Olympiakos in 2005. Enjoying every Reds’ game even when a loss. Everyone of my friends tell me to stop supporting Liverpool because it’s a losing team but I think that’s crap, they know nothing about Liverpool. I am Red to a point that my blood is red.
Scousers rulezzz.

I have been a Red for over 30 years, idolising Dalglish as I grew up and seeing Liverpool evolve from the days of dominating football, home and abroad. A passionate LFC fan based in Cambridge, UK, and enjoy making the most of social media especially in the form of Twitter to interact with other Reds, as well as utilising RSS feeds & apps at every opportunity for the latest breaking news in the game and at the club. Arun ChowdhuryArun Chowdhury

I’m Arun Chowdhury, I’m an avid Liverpool, however i am real in the sense of what I see and what I write if the team plays poor I’m not afraid to say it. I’m currently working for a telecommunications company in Doncaster. I don’t have rose tinted view and have an extensive knowledge of football. I intend to do research and find out what’s going on regarding before writing my article. I’m not good at writing about myself but i’m sure you’ll find my articles enjoyable to read.

Adrian HoughtonAdrian Houghton

I’ve now been supporting Liverpool for over 20 years, having initially been
indoctrinated to do so by my uncle. And it was at his wedding that, as
reward for being a page boy, I received one of my most prized possessions:
an autographed football featuring the Liverpool class of 1988-89. Given how
good the team was from the previous season, and that Ian Rush had just
returned from his ‘foreign country’, and there’s a personalised message from
Kenny Dalglish on it, you can see why I have no intention of letting any
expert from the Antiques Roadshow get their grubby little mits on it. Of
course, the irony of all this is that my uncle’s son is an Everton fan.

I’ve always felt it a pity that I couldn’t have seen more of Liverpool’s
dominance of English and European football, but at least I can remember our
last two league titles. In contrast, the first Liverpool match I watched was
in 1988 against Wimbledon in that final. Bloody Dave Beasant and his mad
Whitney Houston hairdo. Ah well. Since then, I’ve always been fascinated by
the good, the bad and the Mark Lawrenson of this wonderful football club.
It’s a priviledge to be able to convey to you my thoughts about one of my
passions on this website. Oh, and my dad is not, I repeat not, called Ray.

Adam StoneAdam Stone

I have been a LFC fan since about 1986. I started going to Anfield in about 1987 and went as regularly as I could considering I was living in Stafford at the time and was still at school with my dad and my younger brothers. I went to the cup final against Wimbledon back in the late eighties and remember being convinced that we were going win and then the long drive home afterwards when we lost. I last saw a match at Anfield in about 1994 and have sadly not been able to go back since, but I do watch the matches on television when I can and am a regular viewer of Match of the Day during the season. My current favourite players are Stevie G and Fernando Torres.

Corey BellCorey Bell

Hi my name is Corey I am 17 years of age and I come from Northern Ireland. I have been a Liverpool since a very young age and I have a vast knowledge of the history of Liverpool Football Club. I usually attend a match every year, and I never miss watching a single match which Liverpool play in and I am always up to date with the current goings on at Liverpool and I always follow the Transfer rumours regarding Liverpool. I hope you enjoy reading my articles and feel free to give me feedback on whether you agree or disagree with my opinions.

Cheers, Corey.

Rishav DashRishav Dash

I’m Rishav from New Delhi, India. Ive been a red since childhood, for the best part of 13 years now. Supporting LFC is a sort of a tradition in family as my uncle has been a life long supporter as well. My greatest moment till now has been Istanbul ’05. My favourite player Stevie G and his second goal against West Ham in the final of the FA cup at Cardff is my personal favourite cos its quality and importance.
My dream is to become Liverpool Manager one day, though its highly unlikely. On a more realistic note, i’d love to visit Anfield on a European and shout out all the scouse folklore on top of my voice.

Liverpool for life…and beyond !!

Nina VuckovicNina Vuckovic

My name’s Nina and I live in Switzerland.
I became a real football fan in 2005.
Because Liverpool FC taught me in the finale of the Champions League how interesting and great football can be.
Their Fans also showed me how amazing it can be to follow this club.
After that I’ve watched them in a friendlies in Grenchen and I was lucky enough to get some signatures.
(Of course they won 3-2 :-))
I’ve been a true Red ever since.
My biggest dream is to stand in the Kop and watch my boys play.

I try to watch every game of the lads, though it’s a little bit hard here in Switzerland.

I’m commenting on some of the games and events on Twitter as 2Kekoa27.

You’ll Never Walk Alone

Denis GaudillereDenis Gaudillere

I’m Denis, 31 yo, french Red living in Juvisy. I’m nurse assistant in the biggest european hospital “la pitié saleptriere” in paris,
and politic miltant too.

The day i felt in love with LFC , is the night that our Reds played one of their biggest match ever, in may 2005 in istanbul. I was watching the game without really knowing very much about Liverpool except what you can ear and read in medias, and i was absolutely shoked by this amazing match…
I immediatly wanted to know more about LFC, reading many papers, and quickly I identified myself as a liverpool supporter.

I felt in love with the massive history of the club, traditions, values, the stadium, key players from past to present. In my own life I learnt that we have to fight and never betray our ideas to reach honestlty targets wanted, and to do that we have to work hard every days.

That’s why Liverpool FC appeared to me as the football picture of my values.

One year later, I went in Rush Bar (pub of the French Branch, official branch of LFC supporters in France) to see matches and share this « love » with others supporters. Coming in Rush Bar for european cup and premiere league matches became a tradition, and love became passion… a passion never felt down, even in hard moments.
I’m now a french branch member, which is almost my “second” family, Liverpool FC an important part of me.

But I think that, to become a true supporter, everyone as to make criticisms, trying to reflect, to understand what happens each day about our club, i think that’s the only way of carrying of traditions, values and identity of LFC.

Favourite player: the one, in my opinion, representing my idea of a top class football player, who never give up, always keep the head high whatever happens, still fighting with desire and daring, without cheating: Dirk Kuyt.

Favourite match: I can’t choose between our home match in CL against Chelsea won on penalties (the Rush Bar was plenty and atmosphere crazy) in 2007, and the match won at home again in CL against Arsenal 4-2 in an unbelievable scenario (there’s a third match i’ll always remember, it’s our victory away against fulham 1-0, two years ago, we deserverd so much winning the match, we tryed all possible to do it, and when Yossi scored at the last second, i cryed as if we won the championship).

To finish, I just want to say that, whatever happens to the club, glory and sad moments, the importantest thing is to still be proud and honnest of our values and traditions which make us atypical supporters and Liverpool FC the most massive club in the world ;)

Mark StevensonMark Stevenson

I grew up in Flint in North Wales (about 30 miles from Anfield) and have been a Liverpool Supporter for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember what first drew me to the Reds as most of my family are Everton fans but luckily for me I bucked that trend. I went to my first home game when I was 8 years old and watched Liverpool demolish Sheffield Wednesday 5–1 and have been an avid follower ever since.

For the last 4 years I have been living in the East Midlands so do not get to Anfield as often as I would like but I rarely miss a televised game.

Writing for me is a new thing brought on mainly by the fact that much of what I read in the mainstream press is fairly average and I thought I could do at least as well. Writing about a subject that I am so passionate about comes easily and it is good to get feedback from true fans who know what they’re talking about.

My name is Sriram Satish and I’m a sophomore at New York University, studying Finance and Information Systems.

I became a fervent Liverpool fan only a few years ago, but I’ve made every attempt at watching each match that I can online, and when I study in England for a semester I’ll be heading up to Anfield more than once. I haven’t made it around to joining LFC NY but I should probably get on that…

Bill WatsonBill Watson

My name is Bill Watson and even though I might be a yank I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since my British born father bought me an LFC Candy shirt as a little boy. I’m sad to say I’ve since lost the old shirt but have grown to replace it with nearly 15 LFC shirts since then. I’ve also got some cool training vests my mates bring over when they visit America. I’m often known around my workplace to fall “ill” during what I call weekday 3:00 LFC matches (8:00 yours.. I’m supposed to work until 5). I take vacation and sick time to watch them play Champions league football and I’d definitely trade a couple of toes or a pinkie finger for the right to hold Anfield tickets. I love the Reds and I’m glad to be a part of a web-site that feels the same. Thanks for having me.

My other interests include American sport, writing, video games and all the other typical stuff a middle 20 something American will do. If you ever fancy a go at FIFA against a yank who really does play it properly you can catch me on the Xbox at Bro Core 6×3. Other than that I’m a pretty laid back bachelor and heavy drinker trying to make his way in the world. My latest hobby is this website and meeting and tweeting with the people involved. You’ll be the first to see the pics of my Liverbird tattoo once I can muster up the funds! Promise.

Courtney RimmerCourtney Rimmer

Hi my name is Courtney Rimmer. Those of you from the Merseyside area will know Rimmer is heavily linked to Southport, 20 minutes north of Liverpool. My Dad’s side of the family are all Blue Nose’s sadly, however I selected the path of the Liverbird due to my brother Anthony who has been a Kop Season ticket holder for over 15 years.

I played football for Preston North End until I was 16 and was released, then pursued a Football (Soccer) Scholarship in the States for four years. This has obviously hindered the amount of games I got to see at Anfield, but have always jumped on the back of a extra ticket. I am glad to say I got to watch from a game from the original standing Kop. Favourite game Champions Lge Q/F, Second Leg: Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2. Also had the pleasure of meeting King Kenny in person. Favourite players past and present: John Barnes, Robbie Fowler, Carra

Carden HedelCarden Hedel

I’m a 24 year-old Liverpool fan from Fredericksburg, VA. The first European soccer game I ever saw was the 2005 Champions League final. To this day, it remains the greatest moments in sports that I’ve ever seen.
Through my time as the sports editor of my college newspaper and my career as a sports journalist at a Northern Virginia newspaper, the most exciting games I watch on a weekly basis start and end with the Liverpool faithful singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” whether it’s in the afternoon on a Wednesday or bright an early on Sunday morning.
One of my life’s goals is to travel to Liverpool and to sing that glorious hymn. With any luck, I should be there soon.
COME ON YOU REDS!

I am a die hard Liverpool fan, I was born a Liverpool fan and I wouldn’t change
it for the world. Most of my time is spent discussing Liverpool and football in
general. I also possess a healthy knowledge of the club and of football.

I am a 21 year old male, living in johannesburg south africa.

I am highly passionate about Liverpool FC and would consider it a great
privilege to share my thoughts and information with my fellow supporters.

Karl Vassallo GrantKarl Vassallo Grant
My name is Karl, a Liverpool-mad Malta resident born in 1979. Started delving into the exciting world of Liverpool football club sometime around the ages 7 or 8. Still recall being fascinated by the celebrations inside Anfield following Liverpool’s 18th title triumph – “This is the club I’ll be supporting” I said to myself. One of the best moments as a Liverpool fanatic has to be the Champions League final in Istanbul. Watched this in a pub (the owner of which, ironically, is a Man Utd – albeit decent (any left?!) fan). I can still vividly remember how de-motivated, saddened I felt at half-time and even contemplated to leave. Such a feeling was soon to die out as thousands of Liverpool fans inside the pitch sang You’ll Never Walk Alone and this really brought shivers to my spine. Told my girlfriend, now my loving wife, “we’re staying till the end, this is not over”. We all know the rest. I remember dropping to the floor when Shevchenko missed that last penalty. What a moment!

Liverpool-aside, I obtained my University degree in electrical engineering in 2003 and am currently employed as a software engineer within a company specializing in server-based computing. My pastimes include aviation, music and anything related to information technology.

ShamikaShamika
My name is Shamika. I am a 14 year old South African Girl. My aspirations for the future include being a journalist (columnist). My infatuation with LFC began two years ago, officially. I remember the Istanbul finally very clearly, I was in the third grade. It was late and I watched the first half, sort of, all I knew was that my dad’s team, my team was playing and the only LFC player I knew was, Luis Garcia. Then two years ago, I had my mom buy me the squad photo and since then, my room has gone from 1 team poster to the walls being plastered with posters. I saw the players names and I researched them. As time went by, I went through the club history and now I can say I know a lot more than most LFC fans my age. Now I just love everything about Liverpool, the fans, the kop, the history, the spirit, the songs, the passion and skill the game is played with and especially, The LFC Worldwide Family. Y.N.W.A

Zahra HalabiZahra Halabi

My name is Zahra Halabi, I’m from Preston and I was born in 1991 to Liverpool FC obsessed parents.

Really, there wasn’t any other choice for me but to become a Kopite. Even if my dad hadn’t threatened to throw us out of the house if any of us dared support the Mancs, I would definitely have chosen to be a Red myself.

My relationship with LFC has reached the point now, where I am completely infatuated and 5 minutes without checking the football news seems too long!

There are many memories I hold dear; the 2001 cup treble winning season, Michael Owen’s FA cup final, Stevie G’s FA cup final and of course Istanbul 2005! Undoubtedly, I’ll be telling my grandkids about Istanbul until they get tired of me!

I have a passion for writing and I’m in love with LFC. On EOTK, I’d like to combine both and help to spread the word about my great club!

YNWA Kopites!

Charles OngCharles Ong

My name is Charles Ong and I am 16 years old. I was born in Singapore and have been living here ever since. I have always been a passionate follower of Liverpool from my young age and supported the Reds for more than half my life. The history and tradition of the club makes me proud, the Reds and their fans are always one lifelong family who’ll never walk alone. That admiration for the club in turn drove me into a die-hard supporter of the club. Whatever the fortunes of the club, we’re always there for the club and the club is always there for us. Witnessing Istanbul 2005 was my greatest experience ever since turning into a Liverpool fanatic.

2009 was perhaps the best year I had as a Red. Liverpool’s summer tour to Singapore resulted in me having a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the players. Being one of them lucky few fans, I met Mascherano and Arbeloa, both of whom have sadly left the club. In November that year, I made the pligrimage to Anfield. I was absorbed by the wonders of the Kop. Even though I did not manage to catch a game, I went for the stadium tour and saw the Big Ol’ Ears first hand. Walking out of the tunnel touching ‘This Is Anfield’ made the hairs on my back stand! Nevertheless, I’m looking to make the trip again in the near future, to fulfil my dream of seeing the Reds run out at Anfield.

I too have a sustained interest in writing. I hope that I’ll be able to effectively combine both together to continue spreading the Liverpool word. I also run my own blog at (http://www.iblog-reds.blogspot.com). Alternatively you can also follow me on Twitter for my bite-sized rambles of Liverpool at (@redsonfire).

Peter HigginsPeter Higgins

My name is Pete, I’m a lifelong Liverpool fan and here’s a bit about me…

I love Liverpool. The city. The history. The team. Everything.

For me supporting Liverpool Football Club is no longer a choice. It’s a must. It’s an extension of where I come from and what I think. The club has the same values as I do. It is often an underdog, even when successful. And it has a traditional outlook.

Liverpool is more than a just club. It’s a family that unites against adversity. And it has an extended family that includes people from outside our city. I have many friends, from different places, who are Liverpool fans. I certainly don’t have anything against Liverpool supporters who aren’t Scousers. Why would I? In truth, even if I weren’t from Liverpool, I would still want to be a part of it.

You’ll never walk alone.

Conor O'BrienConor O’Brien

A lifelong Liverpool fan of almost 20 years, and am currently a student, in the UK. While I don’t live in Liverpool, I try to make it up there to see afew games each season, probably my favorite match I’ve been to was the Champions League game against Arsenal, were we won 4-2, when I was in corner of the lower centinary and Anfield Road, and my favorite current players would probably be Reina and Pacheco. I also like to keep up with the top European Leagues.

I figured I should make use of my many opinions of the happenings and situation the club is currently in, and contribute to E.O.T.K. and let’s face it being a Liverpool fan, something new seems to happen everyday. Hopefully you guys like my posts, and if you like follow me on twitter too.

Mark RawsthorneMark Rawsthorne

Was born in Liverpool in the early sixties to a Liverpool crazy family,
apparently I was taken to see the FA cup coming home in 1965 in a red
and white suit aged 4 (thankfully that memory has been erased) My
earliest memories are of my dad ‘goin to the match’ on a sat while I was
left behind. as soon as I could go he took me and I was hooked, started
in the paddock and worked my way through every stand except the old
Kemylin road stand. Spent most time on the Kop.the hairs on my kneck
still stand up remembering the quarter final, European cup 1977 and
David Fairclough’s goal, I have never experienced anything like it
before or since. I don’t go as much as I would like now but am still an
avid red and feel the pain when we loose. Living in the midlands I am
surrounded with wolves and baggies fans and one or two mancs so It has
not been easy over the last few years. I proudly wear the club crest on
my coat and a HFSG wristband, however the ‘scouse not english’ car
sticker seems to wind up the local Branch of the English border front
(local small town losers in Shrewsbury) am hoping to get to the game
more often next year and am longing for the glory days again. I remember
being at an away game and 3-0 up, a Liverpool fan around me was moaning
that we should be sticking 7 past the likes of these, how times have
changed!! I do believe NESV will turn it around but I am not really
clear on who is the right manager for us I just know Roy is not that
man.

I’m Pete and I live with my girlfriend and son in a Essex seafront
flat overlooking the picturesque Thames estuary with views across to
the power station chimneys of Kent on the other side. I am 29 now, but
have been a worryingly fanatical Liverpool fan since birth. My sister
who (she wont thank me for this) is a wee bit older than I was
fortunate enough to live in Liverpool throughout the 80’s and as a
mad fan herself, laid claim to me first in my family of many varying
footballing loyalties. My first memory is visiting her in 1986 and
witnessing the trophy parade and the laughably empty blue bus. A
couple of years later when the obsession had really taken hold I
admired John Barnes and, later on, Robbie. To this day my most
treasured piece of clothing is my ‘lucky’ Fowler tee bought from an
Annie road stall, before the 2nd Newcastle 4-3 game in 97. I consider
myself to be a Northerner trapped in a Southerner’s body and quite
genuinely rate Merseyside as my favourite part of the country. It
might be clichéd but the locals really do make it a brilliant city.
Currently I am a student in Journalism, down in ‘orrible East London.

NasNas

I became a liverpool fan before a football fan. It wasn’t about how liverpool played or who we had playing for us that won me over, It was the Kop. The first game i watched on Tv left me speechless.Every time i watch LFC i then wait for the moment. The moment that brings chills down my spine every time. I’d turn up the volume and wait…wait for the camera men to close their eyes and point the camera in any random direction in the Anfield crowd. Cos’ they know no matter where they point that camera they’re going to zoom into a group or an individual fan that has his/her scarf over their heads singing their hearts out, like it was the last time they’d ever see Liverpool play again. That’s passion..That’s Liverpool, you can’t buy it, you can only admire it. Not even during a war do you see a group of people sing an anthem with so much passion. If i wasn’t already in love, Istanbul pushed things to a whole new level. I had the honour of sitting amongst the Kop last year and being a part of that atmosphere..even though we lost that game the chants and songs from that night will never stop ringing in my heart and mind. I try my best to carry that passion along with me to my writing.

Born in 1971, I’ve supported Liverpool since the late 1970′s, I have very fond childhood memories sat in the family front room watching the European Cup Final’s in 1977, 78, 81, 84 and of course the awful events at Heysal in 1985. I first saw Liverpool play at Anfield around the same time against Nottingham Forest. As a young boy I fell in love with the club and I’ve never looked back, although in recent years it’s become more of a dramatic soap opera supporting Liverpool.

All I want is to see every single Liverpool player playing to win, giving 100% week in week out, no excuses… oh and of course, to also see many more honours come our way.

On a personal note I run my own genealogy / people finder / business www.genealogicalbloodlines.co.uk and spend a lot of time travelling between my home in Surrey in England and the beautiful Gold Coast in eastern Australia.

Twenty-seven year old Blog-Artist, from Liverpool and red since birth. Followed Liverpool around Europe during 2004-2007.

First game attended: 02/01/1995, Home Vs Norwich City. Liverpool won 4-0; Scales, Fowler 2 and Rush.

Best game attended (other than Istanbul): 14/04/2005, Away Vs Juventus (Champions League Q/F, Second Leg). Liverpool ‘won’ 0-0, setting up the incredible clashes against Chelsea, and ultimately taking us one step closer to Istanbul.

High-point as a supporter: 21/02/2007, Away Vs Barcelona. Not only did we record an incredible 2-1 win, but it was the birth place of our banner, ‘THIS IS A SHEET’. Made from a pot of jam and a bed sheet, and voted 20th best LFC banner:

Born in 1991, living in the Midwest. I go to university to study Public Relations and Journalism. I do feature writing mainly about sports and hope to make a career out of it someday. My dad raised with baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals, but I myself have found Liverpool. I don’t know when or how I became a Red. I think it was during the time of Gerard Houllier. What’s important is what has kept me supporting. I love the history and loyalty of the club. I love talking about Liverpool and football/soccer in general. However, none of my friends are into it. My poor roommate has to suffer through me raving and ranting about sports all the time.

Sadly, I have never had the privilege to stand at Anfield holding my scarf and sing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ although I hope to in the near future.

Nezik KeshtoNezik Keshto

Hey everyone. I’m Nezik Keshto, a 17 year old girl with only one passion in life. Football.

Some would describe me as a beerdrinking bon vivant, footy loving chick with a heart that beats for Liverpool Football Club. That’s the short story.

Born and raised in Sweden, by two parents that can’t even spell football (thats how unintrested they are), many wonders how I developed my passion. It’s easy.

At a very young age, I tuned in on the TV and there it was. A green pitch, with white stripes clearer then any star I’d ever seen. With huge enthusiasm I watched 20 big sized men, running after a ball.
What I didin’t know at the time, was that it was the great Sami Hypia that didin’t let anyone score, that it was our current Captain Fantastic that did all the brilliant passes and of course the one and only Robbie Fowler that made the crowd go wild.

I haven’t been on Anfield, but would kill a man or two just to touch the “This is Anfield” sign. I would definitly cut off both my armes, just to stand along you great people and sing You’ll Never Walk Alone.

I wouldn’t miss a game for anything. Believe me when I say that my girlfriends, parents and even teachers has gone mad on me because of it. But that’s how it is when you are a fan of Liverpool FC. It’s more than a club you support, it’s a lifestyle. It’s my life.

My life motto?

YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

Follow me on Twitter @Nezik_Keshto if you like, and I hope you enjoy my writing here.

My names Bradley, I’m a die-hard Liverpool supporter who has been traveling
to games from my Cumbrian base for 10 years. Whether the team win, lose or
draw, I never give up hope and I’ll support the team in whatever situation
we find ourselves in.

I’m a passionate football watcher and writer, who lives for the beautiful
game. There’s no better feeling in the world than being inside Anfield
singing You’ll Never Walk Alone. Up the Reds.

Kaushal GoyalKaushal Goyal

Hi, my name is Kaushal and I’m a 31-year-old red from Delhi, India. I work in Corporate Finance here. I have been a red for almost 13 years now. That might sound less but let’s just say that I’ve been supporting LFC as soon as became acquainted with Association Football.
Growing up in India in the 80s and 90s, football usually meant a once in 4 year affair. My father introduced me to football in Italia’90. I watched the Michael Owen goal in 1998 and since then he has been my hero. Coincidentally that was also the boom time of PC games and cable television in India. I picked up a copy of FIFA99 and picked Liverpool since Michael Owen played for the club.. In a country and age when people supported MUFC (marketing, Beckham, recent successes), I think I was one of the chosen ones who were picked by the Liver bird. In no time I was crazy about the club without even knowing an iota of history. 13 years down the line it just feels that it was meant to be.
I live with my wife who doesn’t mind football since it is less TV than cricket and with a 4 year old son who, as of now, knows 5 footballing terms – football, kick, goal, Liverpool and… Fernando Torres
I am not a historian, strategist or analyzer and certainly not a football expert. I am simply trying to share my opinion here… YNWA!

I am a Kop season ticket holder and a scouser from Kensington, Liverpool (proving that there are still a few scousers on The Kop!). My life revolves around my family and my football club. My greatest claim to fame is that I once scored a header at The Kop end in a charity match.

I can often be found rambling about LFC on Twitter (@joescouse_LFC).

Alastair BenhamAlastair Benham
Hiya guys, well I’ve been a supporter of Liverpool all my life mainly because my Grandad introduced me to the Reds and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve been to some fantastic matches in my time such as our defeat of Real Madrid 4-0. I’ve lived in England all my life and will always continue to support my historic team that runs through my family’s blood. My other hobbies besides football are Rugby, Cricket and Formula 1, but football will always take priority over these three… unless its international football… which I cannot stand right now. Anyway that’s a little bit about me and I hope to write some articles on here that a few of you might find interesting.

Hi, my name’s Ben and I live in the East of England. I’m 20 years old and have been a red for as long as I remember.
I was attracted to the club from a young age and fell in love with it during the Michael Owen years. I like to post articles about all things football and most notably Liverpool Football Club as I’m a passionate writer hoping to make a mark on the footballing world in years to come. I try engage and provoke discussions within our club and the footballing community as a whole and provide an insight to the way I view football in general. It’s a privilege to write for The Empire of The Kop and I hope you enjoy reading the articles I come up with.

I’ve been interacting in social media for a few years on Twitter, Youtube and various other sites.

I babysat a Season ticket for a family member for the 2000/01 – 2001/02

I am Enrique López Scherer from Mexico City. I’m 18 years old, and I have been a Liverpool supporter since I remember! I’m not really sure how the passion started growing deep inside of me, but I breathe Liverpool more and more each day. I think this football club (although we are much more than only a ‘club’) stands for the values and virtues I admire the most, but we just call it the Liverpool Way. I have only attended Anfield once, but it’s one of my dearest dreams to get a work in Liverpool and have a family there, so I could go to Anfield as much as possible. I don’t think I’m a football expert in all of its topics, but when it comes to Liverpool, I assure you I know quite a few things. I hope you like my articles.

John DohertyJohn Doherty
Hi all
My name is John Doherty. I’m a 31 year old living in Southampton U.K. I moved there from Liverpool (Walton Vale) when I was 11 so I am spreading the gospel down here. I have always been a Liverpool fan (I was lucky to be born on the right side of Stanley Park). I have so many great memories thanks to this club…and some bad. I like so many Liverpool fans had a choice as some of my family are Blues but I had a calling and never looked back.

I am a football supporter not a club supporter, in that I mean I love everything football, I’m the sort of person who’ll go to the local park on a Sunday and watch my local team play where as some (and I have no problem with this) will only watch a game if Liverpool are playing or like a club because a star player has “nice legs” as long as you love the cube who cares.

I am not a stats person I just know what I’m on about on some things. Apart from footie I love music, Metal, Rock and Old school trance. I enjoy reading and watching Rugby (I also love Rugby). I cannot go and see many live games but when I go and visit my parents in Kirkby I’ll get tickets if I can but mainly I have to rely on Saints playing Liverpool as I can get tickets to St. Mary’s which is why I wanted them to stay in the PL.

‘Ello there, mates. My name is Maria Xing. I’m a 17-year-old old Chinese-American girl who grew up in Iowa but now lives in Connecticut.

Red has run in my family’s blood for ages. My parents grew up idolizing the phenomenal duo of Kevin Keegan and John Toshack and would often tell me stories about them. They loved Paisley. Absolutely loved him. After I was born, they passed their Liverpool-loving genes onto me. I remember getting my very first football jersey at the age of three. It was Kenny Dalglish’s, but fun-sized and fitted just for me. I still have it somewhere in my messy closet, but one thing is for sure. I will cherish it forever.

Hmm, I guess I should take a minute or two to talk about my personality. I’m a big fan of banter and wittature. I love poking fun at other people and other teams, as inspired by my favourite two comedians, Stephen Colbert and Stephen Fry. I don’t always take things lightly, though. If someone attacks my club, no matter what the circumstances, I’ll always defend them passionately.

I’ve mentioned the name “Stephen” twice now. You can probably guess who my favourite player is. Steven George Gerrard. That is all.

My name’s Lizzi Doyle and I’m a 17 year old football fanatic from Liverpool.
Liverpool Football Club is my one and only passion, and I have true belief in my team. You cut me in half and I bleed red for my team. All of my family are die hard Liverpudlians and I intend to follow the tradition for as long as I live, passing it down to future generations to come. It’s more than just a hobby; it’s a way of life.
You’ll more than often find me of a weekend at Anfield or glued to the telly for an hour and a half watching the red men run circles around every other team.
I’m currently at college studying for my A-Levels and would love to go into Sports journalism as a career as what could be better writing about your own team for a living?
I also take a lot of inspiration from Dave Kirby and write a lot of poems myself about Liverpool. I am a strong supporter of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, and will help the families fight to the end until they get what they deserve.

Being an Indian, its very hard to open the newspapers and not see news regarding cricket..Yet,in a densely populated country in which a large majority of people are hooked to the Gentleman’s game,im probably one of those people in the ratio of 1:1000 who love football.
Loving the game is an understatement to be honest..Its all i think about!
& when you talk about football, only club comes to mind – Liverpool Football Club.
I started watching the game from the 2002 WC..post WC,i started to follow the different leagues in Europe..Thats where Liverpool caught my eye, thats where i got hooked to this Prestigious club & never has a day gone by that i regret being part of the Liverpool family.

Karam RajMichael Elmore
Most supporters gain their allegiance through their father but in my case my dad wasn’t interested in football (I know…. his loss) so I had to find myself in the football world and establish a bond with a club. I’ll be honest I had no idea and over my initial year of getting into football I had supported Leeds, Rangers and wait for it Manchester United. At the time though I was young and thankfully my heart set itself on Liverpool. I admired the way they played and the aura that surrounded the club. I haven’t looked back since then and have been a huge admirer of the way the club conducts itself and its every expanding fan base that have so much passion for our club. The simple facts are I am 29 (soon to be 30) I have 2 boys (who of course are Liverpool supporters) and I am married. I live in Doncaster, England and try to make it to at least a couple of games a season. I hope to share my thoughts with you all and hope in return you can share yours.

Brian ReeceBrian Reece
Born in 1971 I have supported Liverpool FC from birth, my parents who are from Huyton both supported Liverpool so it was a natural progression for me to support the Reds, and probably the best decision my parents made for me, in fact I could spell Liverpool before I could spell my own name, which made my mothers life a little awkward when the teachers kept ringing her up to ask is my name Liverpool.

Am married to my lovely wife Sharon and we have 3 boys one who is a journalist and has just finished his Masters Degree, and the younger two are still teenagers, all give me different problems.

Liverpool is a major part of my life both in family terms and in Football terms, I try and take my youngest son to Anfield at every given opportunity and he loves going to see the Reds play, I wish that my son can see Liverpool win the League as I have, am sure he will witness us win the title before long.

I love to cause a debate, am a very “cat amongst the pigeons” person but welcome others to challenge and question anything I write.

I refuse to write about something I don’t believe in or know is wrong, so if you read my work then I hole heartedly believe in that article and will defend it with the same passion.

Everyone is welcome and I will always reply to any questions people ask me.

Matt MatejcekMatt Matejcek

Being American, I unfortunately did not get into football (it’s not called soccer!) at an early age. It wasn’t until college that I surrounded myself with fans of the wonderful game and I began to follow the sport in search of a club that I could truly attach myself to. I discovered the glory that is Liverpool Football Club and I was hooked from day one. Not only is the team one of the world’s best, but so are the passionate and loyal fans that I am honored to consider myself a part of. Without a doubt, I am very proud to represent the Reds on California’s sunny west coast. YNWA.
