I thought I will be able to do the update today but they did keep me in hospital. Thanks again for your wishes as I recover from Gallbladder surgery.
A little different format today as I am only armed with my phone. I am on heavy medication & I must say it is tough trying to type with an IV attached.
The big story that came out in the last few hours is that Insua is off to Gallatasaray.
Some speculation that Ryan Babel might be leaving emerged after he tweeted “sigh…” twice, According to a report he might have met with Roy who told him that he must prove himself.
A report from Greece also suggests that Damien Plessis to Panathinaikos.
Many reports are suggesting that Mario Gomez could become our striker, he is the front runner right now.
The konchesky deal is not complete yet.
Torres will play for Spain in the international break against Roy’s wishes.

On Sunday we head to Hull for our final game of the season, the match will probably not be shown live in most countries including the UK due to the fact that all the other games are being played at the same time. With European football already secured for next year, finishing in sixth place would help us avoid the extra Europa League qualifier at the end of July. In order to finish in sixth place we need to win and Aston Villa will need to draw or lose their final game against Blackburn.
Hull have already been relegated to the Championship, they will be playing their last game in the Premier League and will put up a though fight as they are playing for their honour more than anything. In the reverse fixture back in September the Reds registered the best win of the season when we trashed them 6-1 with Fernando Torres scoring a hatrick.
Rafa ends the season with more injury worries as Maxi Rodriguez, Fernando Torres, Martin Kelly, Emiliano Insua and Fabio Aurelio are all unavailable while Jamie Carragher, Glen Johnson and Martin Skrtel are doubtful. With all these injuries in the back the gaffer might give Daniel Ayala a start.
Predicted Lineup:
Pepe Reina, Daniel Agger, Daniel Ayala, Sotirios Kyrgiakos, Javier Mascherano, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Aquilani, Yossi Benayoun, Dirk Kuyt, Steve Gerrard, Ryan Babel
Kick off is at 4PM

I have heard this BS coming from some claiming that the Liverpool Supporters’ Union Spirit of Shankly (S.O.S.) is disruptive and do not help events on the field.
Well, I did some research and here are the facts based on the protest events that S.O.S. organised this season.
We have not had many victories to claim this season on the pitch but four of them happened after an S.O.S. protest event.
Oct 25th : Man Utd. game – Liverpool won 2-0
Sept 26th : Hull game – Liverpool won 6-1
Sept 22nd : Leeds (away) game – Liverpool won 1-0
Sept 19th : West Ham (away) game – Liverpool won 3-2
And this is not some voodoo fact, we all know that the 12th man helps lift our team. The protests get the supporters warmed up and then when they enter the stadium they are fired up. This was the most evident in our best two home games this season against Hull & Man Utd.
My plea to S.O.S. is Please Please Please, we want more protests.
