What else can I say about tonight’s performance, it was one of those games that you want to see over and over again. I have it recorded so I will probably be watching for a few times :-)
All around outstanding performance by the whole whole and the class of play was breathtaking. The Reds tonight sure gave everyone a great value for money,and the word on every Liverpool Supporter’s mouth was WHY CAN’T WE PLAY LIKE THIS in the Premiership?
I have to pinch myself again to remember who we were playing, we were playing REAL MADRID, the Galácticos the Real Madrid who had won the Champions League 9 times. The Real Madrid with world class players such as Castillas, Ramos, Robben, Cannavarro, Raul, Gago, Gutti, Marcelo,Van der Vaart, Pepe, Snejder, Saviola and the list goes on.
Tough choice for the player of the match, but Fernando Torres produced some jaw dropping class as he tormented the Real defence. Of course Captain Stevie is a very close second with a top drawer goal in the second half.
All in all one of the best games the Reds have played this century :-)
