Here in my opinion are our top 5 games of the 2008/2009 Season.
1) Manchester United 1 – Liverpool 4
(Premier League – 14th March, 2009)
I am sure that almost every single Liverpool supporter will agree that this was the highlight game of the season.
2) Liverpool 4 – Real Madrid 0
(Champions League – 10th March, 2009)
Not only did we win 4-0 but we outplayed them, the so called “Galacticos”.
3) Liverpool 5 – Aston Villa 0
(Premier League – 22nd March, 2009)
Again another top performance by the Reds over what was one of the top teams in the Premiership this season.
4) Newcastle 1 – Liverpool 5
(Premier League – 28th December, 2008)
Scoring 5 goals away is always a huge achievement, although Newcastle got relegated it was still an awesome performance by the Reds.
5) Chelsea 4 – Liverpool 4
(Champions League – 14th April, 2009)
We got eliminated in Champions League but we were proud on how the Reds performed and kept fighting until the end on the evening before the 20th anniversary of Hillsborough.
