The Kop Pledge

Posted by

We have heard it before but I am posting it to remind us of what we are all about
and urge all Red supporters to adhere to the Kop Pledge.

1) Always support the team, no matter how bad they happen to be playing.

2) If the team is doing badly, then cheer even louder because they need your support even more.

3) If a player is struggling, then sing his name even louder and even harder to support him when he needs it the most.

4) If the opposition are the better side and performs well, then appreciate it and give them the credit they deserve.

Pele says he used to support Liverpool – but now is a fan of Manchester United!

And the former Brazil striker, who Manchester United tried to sign in the Sixties, believes the Barclays Premier League is the best spectacle in the world.

“I have always liked English teams,” the 68-year-old told Sport magazine. “In the 1970s ad 80s I was a Liverpool fan. I don’t know why especially, perhaps because they were the top team back then.

“In the last 10 or 15 years I have enjoyed following Manchester United the most. They play the game the right way and, in Brazil, Manchester United are far and away the most popular team.

  2. I was ashamed to be at a match were the fans around me booed Lucas Levi.I no hes not the greatest but i have never shown disrespect towards a Liverpool player in my life

  3. A pledge i have upheld for the 10 years i have supported liverpool, whilst many ridicule the fact im not from liverpool and live in the south east, i look past it when i watch the reds play, i cried in 2005, my dad was outside in the garden because he couldnt watch the last 2 minutes of extra time, i go into work annoyed if the reds underperform, i feel connected to the history and to the greatness this club has done for both the community and for the footballing world, from tragedy to glory, this club has remained great and will do so for years to come, just wish some people would see it the same.
